When do they stop being boats?

Boats for trade

I just got in from cutting wood all day with a medium size chain saw that is 59cc. Makes me wonder how fast that 90cc outboard pushed that boat.

Seller is either un-educated about OB's numbering & HP ratings or it's a typo. 90-S was a 89.5ci +/- OB ~ 1467cc+/-...........

"Power: Mercury 650 HP Outboard Motor"

lol, think he meant 65hp merc model 650 :p

I sold a boat a few years ago with a MerCruiser 120 hp. The newspaper listed it as 1200hp. I got a lot of calls because it was a cheap sale.

nice!

and I love the personal ad... you know my FIL let his other daughter borrow his boat this one time... it came back needing a new impeller and the heads had a nice perdy rainbow/purple hue.

Sharing a boat... not for me :p

Here's the part I like:
I have a copy of a marine survey done in Sept 1986 by a John J. Bielman marine surveyor 6 pages long describing the boat.

Because we all know the nothing can happen to a stored boat in 27 years right?

Hahahaha. How much for this P.O.S.??? Smokercraft 15' with 25 hp

That very boat was my first restore. I paid $160.00 for the boat, and mine had a merc 40 off the back. It was a pile of junk when I got it. It had 2 rotten floors and at least 15 lbs of stainless wood screws through out the entire boat. I stripped it down to the bones, and went through it in a couple weeks. I ended up selling the boat for $2300.00 and laughed all the way to the bank. The boat above is actually a great project boat, maybe not to your taste, but if that outboard runs well, it's worth the price or close.

I think a new 46 footer would run over a million, this one has 2 sets of power, I'm thinking that for the right person this one would be a great project, dump another $50K into it and you would have a yacht worth much much more. I don't think it would fit in my garage though!
