That doesn't really meet the criteria of a TLC needed boat though. Especially since the "leather" is in such good shape!

Yea, and he already "spent over 3,000 bucks last season for fuel pump, tune up, impellor, batteries". Must have bought top of the line stuff..

This from April 2010: Rogers Custom Boats - Page 2

I am just realizing the guy I boated with 30 years ago had a Bonneville. It was painted in Superman colors, we called it Superman. Wow, memories.

Thanks for the info QC. Think I remember reading that post in the past, and forgot about it.
Don't want to clutter up this thread with my clutter, so back to the fun... :D;)

Mentions the motor, but not what it is, or even a photo of it? What a Maroon!

What I really liked about it was the interior has that "wild animal lives here" look.
The windshield (or lack there of) with only one piece of glass remaining.
Oh.. and.. the trailer tongue in a snowbank, with the boat nose down, and no visible means of coverage in site.
If looks are truth, I wonder how much frozen water is under the deck..

He's built a few of these for various places. There was one that is down at the Lake of the Ozarks, one that was delivered to a kids camp in upstate NY (I think). He is all over the Mississippi here. He's a musician and plays different events on the water and uses the pirate ship as a stage. I think this is for sale because he's building a new, much bigger one. Here is the website. Good fun. FISHING BOAT - $600 (JEFFERSON,GA)

"boat" actually looks like its in really nice shape. Look closely at the pictures, though, and note the "storage areas" as well as the logo on the "transom" picture. Then you will realize what this thing is.

It is a brilliant piece of redneck engineering, though!

I agree it's brilliant. I'm surprised he didn't advertise it as "car-toppable".

You GOTTA love the pic on this one!
Great Project Boat - $800 (Highlands)

I have a 1975 CeeBee Avenger boat with a Merc 150 that was completely restored before the transom gave way last year. I was able to get it out of the river and got fogging oil in, so the engine is not locked, but it appears to need a distributor before it will start. I spent a lot of time doing the work on this, including glassing in a new floor of 3/4" marine plywood, replacing just about every major components and a significant amount of interior work, it ran like a dream right up until the time the transom broke. I don't have the time or energy to do it again but it would be a great project for someone who does. It's on a decent trailer with good tires, make me an offer!
Restored versions of this boat regulalry sell for upwards of $4000, see sample ad.
