I replied to him telling him he's insane. The boat is rated for a 90HP and exceeding 40% rating was a huge safety issue.

BTW: If "V153" if you're still out there, I'm sure you'll get a giggle out of this one. V153 was telling me he takes his Glastron (90hp) to the gulf, (Florida.) I had trouble with mine a mile off Lake Ontario.

Good lord! The boat is hardly bigger than the engine!

I'd like to take that out for a spin though....

I was thinking the same thing....if I was in the market for a fiberglass boat, thats the kind of fishing boat id want...the trailer alone is worth $400!!! and the motor RUNS so he says.....so if you dump $350 into the lower unit...you get a 110 hp running outboard.

if the motor has good compression...thats a decent deal for a handy man...

EDITOOOOPPPS wrong boat......i was talking about the center console with the bad transom, outboard and trailer!!!! not the Cobia...... I wouldnt want that Cobia!!!!NO TRAILER TO BOOT

I still contend that $400 for a bare hull with no motor or trailer is a bad deal.

This Boat needs some work to be done to it but once it gets cleaned up, assembled back together it's going to be great for fishing, it hasn't been used in over 8 years and may need a considerable amount of work to get back in shape. Only serious buyers please

Well the boat's appears to already be where it belongs. Might get a couple hundie for the Evinrude.

The Evinrude might be in trouble if water froze with the motor in the trailer position for 8 Chicago winters. The battery decal looks nice.

And how many cases of beer is he throwing in?
