Not TLC, but thought it was funny, everyones just trying to make a dime now days. But I think I'll just go in on a charter boat for this price. :D

So let's say I'm this brain surgeon that has this boat for lease. And another turd in the gene pool like my 24x7 alcohol enhanced brother-in-law rents it and takes it out on the lake, has an accident, gets injured, and ends up suing the pants off me. Ain't life grand?

I didn't buy from Craigslist ad, but did buy one of those "ran great last time we had it out, no structural issues I'm aware of, one of the livewells leaks a little, outboard alone is worth the asking price of whole shebang, I just don't have time to fish anymore" type deals.

Turned out the last time it was out was in 2004.....no structural issues turned out to be rotten wood under fiberglass in entire floor, livewell was not leaking - there was a crack in the very bottom of the hull that became visible when water gathered in hull, outboard worth the asking price.....uh...no....1983 Mercury 115 2 stroke book value $400-$600 bucks, don't have time to go fishing anymore......no, just don't want to fix this money pit so I'll get rid of it.

Lesson learned.....look up the term "a fool and his money..." and you'll see my picture.......

Sold the whole thing to the guy that was gonna fix the fiberglass to recoup some cash. But now I own a brand new Tracker Pro 16 and it's all mine, not someone else's problems that I have to fix.

Perhaps he has a different definition of rust than the rest of us do...

Man, did you read it right?

"A good project boat. Needs new paint. New interior. Hull material is fiberglass. Was told the motor is locked up. Outboard needs rebuilt. Trailer has hydraulic brakes. Bearings are good. Break pads are good. Needs master cylinder.
Call or Email Lamar 301-573-2121

You"ll got GOOD bearings and brake pads, isn't enough for 2500$ ;)

For 100 bucks its not a bad deal. The someone stole the outdrive and starter sounds like a big pile of BS.

This guy has some nerves... I went to see it. The darn thing has about a foot of leaves in it. transom is rotten and swollen to the point you can see the green mulch growing inside of it, the trailer has so much rust in it that I have no idea how it is still standing...
All it needs is a little cleaning... He did not even knew what a transom is...

Well at that guy has a sense of humor. I always REALLY liked that year(s) of SeaRay with the SeaRay branded Merc outboard. Too bad someone let that one go.
