I would use a 4" short nap roller and roll on 3-4 coats of gelcoat with wax in the last coat. It'll be the most durable coating. It is porous so oil and grease will stain it so there's that. There's also Bilgecoat and Rustoleum Paint with Hardener. They will be a bit easier to keep clean. But again, the Gelcoat will be the most durable.
Well wood I just read on another thread you posted not to mix with a power mixer and I am assuming this also means the small paint ones?
I have been using one all along well back to hand mixing
Some people will argue that point. I've had a LOT of Spirited Discussions with Experienced Glassers on the subject. The issue is getting a good mix of the MEKP into the Resin. Power Mixing WILL do a better job of this but you pay the price of introducing air into the mix. We have enuf issues with air as it is and I see no reason to add more air to the problem. I've never had issues with Improper MEKP mixing by hand stirring so I've always done it manually. Some of the PRO's still disagree and that's OK by me. It IS just my Dumb Okie Opinion soooo do with it as you see fit. No body is MAKING you do it MY WAY!!! I'm just Stating my opinion and the facts as I see em. Like I always say...It's your boat and you're free to do with it as you see fit.
Yep, once again, I gotta agree with the Old Dumb Okie...
I have mixed countless batches of resin and PB...always mixed by hand...taught by an old glasser dude that using power mixers would add air...According to him, that is one of the reasons why chopper guns were invented...

The Silly So. Floridian...
Never, absolutely not, not in this forum...
the only dumb question is the one you didn't ask and ended up doing something really dumb because of lack of enlightenment...
