Second water test yesterday revealed that the lower bolts were leaking. These are the transom mounting bolts that have the anodes mounted. I had a friend help me find the leaks. I left the boat strapped to the trailer and backed down the ramp. Since the area was so tight, we used a wifi bore scope to look under the transom plate. The water was easy to see coming from the bolts and between the transom plate and the transom.

Fast forward to today. I took both of those bolts out and filled the holes with 5200. You really have to be a contortionist to get the one on the starboard side. I'll let that cure and see if it holds. All back together.

Painting the window braces and tightening up that hardware. Discovered a few waddled holes which explains the movement in the window. Taking care of all that too.

Old timers on the dividers for the engine compartment. Reinstalled the painted window braces. Painted a little gray in the stern area to hide the raw fiberglass. Originally this was covered in carpet, the less carpet the better IMO. Finished running the vent ducting from the side vents to the top of the motor.

Ok, confirmed that the leak problem is solved. Four hours on the water and barely any water in the bilge. I still have a stumble when the secondaries open in the quadra-jet. Pretty sure the only thing that will help that is a jet change which means taking off the air horn. I may play around with the tension of the secondary top plate to see if it makes any difference. Any quadra-jet advice is appreciated.

Aside from that, it was a great day on the water.

Quick update for the record. I tightened up the secondary vacuum flaps on the quadrajet and the stumble is just about gone when throttling up.

I was able to get 47mph on that 23"pitch prop at WOT which was 4500 rpm. I'd love to see 50 mph, which could happen with a light fuel load. I'm just having fun though.

Me and and a buddy took our boats to the river after work Wednesday and had an absolute blast. I love this boat!!!

Killin me chuck. Congrats. I can't wait to do what your doing. I got a 17 stainless with the boat and My buddy with the bayliner has a 21 I can borrow for test and tuning. Pics are sweet and the boat looks very good. You will get the quadra-junk sorted out they are good carbs once dialed in.

Thanks a lot guys. Had some time to finish up some odds and ends.

Finished up the dividers for the engine compartment. Now that I got the leak straightened out, I attached these.

I manufactured a spring loaded plunger style of latch for the center seat of my bench. This rascal kept flipping up when in transport. Pictures of this later.

I also had to install a new trailer jack. Old one went kaput.
