My boat engine is 2.5L, 120H Mercruisier. Coupler was wipled and bellow house is leaking Today I removed the four bolts and found two bolts under the engine are rusted. I can but two bolts but the base can work with the two bolts.? How can I fix it?
Not. English is not my first language. everything are professional words. No clue what's going on here

Understood, but the syntax of your first post was offNot. English is not my first language. everything are professional words.
Thank you Rick, Is it easy to rebuild crossmember? How to do it?The lag bolts for the front mount have nothing to bite into. You will need a way to rebuild that crossmember so it is solid again. If the lag bolts won't screw in tight the motor moves and the coupler gets destroyed.
What is your boat's construction? Wood, Fibreglass, Aluminium, Ferro-cement?Thank you Rick, Is it easy to rebuild crossmember? How to do it?

Chris........
the answer to nearly all Mercruiser questions are in the stickies at the tops of the forums.First question : How I can make the engine to fix on the boat to prevent being moved?
Second question: What are we going to adjust for the alignment?
Where can I find the viedo to do the alignment job? thank youThe rear of the engine is bolted to the rear housing, there is nothing to adjust, pic 3 shows the location of the rear bolts. where the bolts go in are the rear motor mounts. When they go bad the motor lowers and wipes the coupler. So first replace the rear rubber bushings.
pic 1 shows the front mount, the large nuts inthe center raise or lower the front of the motor to get the alignment perfect. Replacing the front mount if its rotted, grad a piece of poplar and glass it in place at the correct height.
Did you check for rotten stringers?Today I bought a piece of oak wood. Can it work if I put the oak wook with right size under the engine? The oak wood is very hard. In the future I will maintain the oak wood and do the alignment by my self.
