I guess the email didn't go through,my bad somehow and lake mead does have a 4ft net law,but I have a 6ft from walmart sometime ago. I also think big shiny boats might have spooked them, lol.

Hey guys, its time to get out on Mead..I was out Sunday and Monday and it was beautiful..Water temp ranged from 62 to 70. Hit the wash and was able to net shad..Caught some small and large mouth bass..No stripers. Went to Callville Sunday afternoon and caught large mouth on plastic worms. Best part was being out with my 2 sons and 1 of my grandsons from Cali..

I'm finally heading out! I'll be at T-Bar's party central Thurs nite to Sunday and we'll be taking the boat out to get those nasty cobwebs out of her! Time to start makin some more Mead memories this season.

When I joined this site, my daughter was in 6th grade, now she's graduating high school next month, then off to college in the Fall. My son was in 2nd grade, now he's graduating 8th this year and will be following in his sister's footsteps to high school. Time really flies, so take advantage of each and every moment of each and every day - on and off the water!

We didn't take the boat out at all in 2013, this year will be better hopefully. I started the boat and cleaned it up today. Have the AIS tag and '14 stickers on and the trailer tag should be here soon. :)

Hope you have a great trip.I am waiting for my trailer axle hope it is ready soon killing me not getting on the water....

Great times are ahead my fellow Lake Meaders! It appears to me that in my life and many of yours the water drop has changed us all. I started this all because I was on mead every weekend for 15 plus yrs fishing,camping,exploring,boating, my memories our so deep that they come to me only when I don't remember! lol. I still see every bass protecting his bed daily,every sunset as I never see them as I work,every shimmering moon lit night,listening to other boaters far away having fun in the darkness with just the fire in the back ground.
I am a true lake mead boater and have always been there waiting to help those in need,from wildlife to drunks I have sit and waited nearby through the day and night.

Well, there's always the new intake straw: Drought -- and neighbors -- press Las Vegas to conserve water - latimes.com

Promising, but more drought sure won't help

Odd that the "LA Times" is saying Mead won't have enough water for Vegas by 2036,,, as I think So Cal would be in a more serious situation.

Though, if we keep making those artificial floods down in the Colorado River delta (Mexico), 2036 could come much sooner...

When Powell went down this river im sure he didn't wake up on the 23rd day and complain about the water drop or rise! He took in the beauty and the awe!! that's were I have always been.

Lake Las Vegas capacity 9,206 Acre Feet
Lake Mead capacity 26,134,000 Acre Feet
Lake Mead area at capacity 158,500 Acres

If the internet sources and my math are correct, filling LLV from LM when at capacity would drop LM by 1".

Thanks sam for helping with the math,but we need more info,when did lake las vegas start filling and so on. I know its not the trigger finger in this but i believe this is the time when it all started.
