Re: Boat Names

my '84 venture sprint 16' bass boat is named "checkin' jugs". :D

a duely fitting name for a boat that spend most of its time on jug fishing trips.

Re: Boat Names

I named my boat " Till the Rapture" It lets folks know I enjoy the beauty and peace of the water that God gave us here but I'm ready to fish the heavenly lakes whenever he sees fit. Dave :)

Re: Boat Names

One of the best names I ever saw was written the full length of the speed-boats hull. It was "Don't Panic" upside down!

Re: Boat Names

First time boat owner. 18 foot ebbtide 150 horse Force outboard.
I was thinking about namer her "Hailey's Comet" after my dog Hailey. We nicknamed my dog Sweeper. I also thought about "Lil Miss Sweeper".
I can't decide, any suggestions?

Tom

Re: Boat Names

Mine named herself... it broke down several times when we first got it, and seemed like I was always replacing something... so it only seemed fitting to name her "High Maintenance".

The funny thing is, once we named her... she's been rock solid reliable!

Re: Boat Names

I got a bunch of stitches in my leg from a dog. After the owner paid up, I put the money (not much, I had to add a lot more) towards a boat. Just a little Smoker Craft 1440 ProMag. I'm thinking about "DOG BYT". Any thoughts?

Re: Boat Names

Well reading this this thread made me wonder where my latest project "The Sea Gem I " got its name. Well, I did a quick google and this is what I found

The Sea Gem was the first British offshore oil rig, and the first British offshore rig disaster when in 1965, the rig's legs collapsed, killing 13 of the crew.

GEE aren't I lucky, :eek: I have always been told that its bad luck to change a ships name, right now I'm trying to decide the lesser of the 2 evils lol

Depending on the disposition of the dog, it could be DOG GONE

Re: Boat Names

I know that some don't believe in changing the boats name in fear of bad luck, but here is my situation;
I have a 19' Glassport Sport Cuddy that is currently named " Hydro Therapy " I am working on a bunch of restoration things to get this boat to be a nice one. My wife hates the name & I am kind of on the fence. We are trying to decide what to do, so opinions are appreciated. She want's to rename it " Bouy Yah " and I ws thinking " Recommended Doseage " because she is a pharmacist and I was thinking about putting the x on the R...
Thanks,
Rodger

SO;
*Hydro Therapy
*Bouy Yah
*Recommended Doseage
