Re: Boat Names

I need some Help. Apparently nobody in the family is very creative, we have had this boat for 10 months and can not come up with a name. Here is some background, owned by 2 chiropractors, we have twins 10 year old boy/girl. I am starting to believe this stuff about bad luck on an unnamed boat. The list of sh** I've been through this summer while having fun on this thing is beyond what I can write off as a first time boat owner. Thanks for any suggestions, I've seen some pretty creative reponses here so please help me out.

Re: Boat Names

My first boat was called "Hope it Floats". It was a giant POS, when people saw it they asked if it worked. Most of the time the answer was that I didn't know. They would follow uo by asking "does it even float". My answer "Hope so". I think we are going to name our new boat B.A.S.S., it's our initials.

"LI'L PIECE OF SHIP" sounds fitting.

Re: Boat Names

We couldn't think of a good name for our 17' Chaparral, either. So, we just called it "Catchy Name."

My boss just got a 45' Sonic with 3 500 HP engines and 3 Bravo outdrives sticking out the back. "Threesome" is the name on that one. Obviously, being a family man, it will be renamed. I figured, since it's a Sonic, and it's incredibly loud, he should call it "BOOM."

Re: Boat Names

Saw this on the side of a boat and had to laugh,<br />"Hell Froze Over."

It might be a long shot, but I believe I saw that same name on a boat this weekend. It wasn't in Torch Lake, was it? Same name, on the side of the boat. Saw it from a distance, it was a white approx low 20' boat?

Re: Boat Names

Went through the Muskegon Lake Channel last year. Among others, I saw 2 cabin cruisers. The first one I saw was named "It's Five O'Clock Somewhere." The one a few boats behind it was "It's Five O'Clock Here." Wonder if they were together...

Re: Boat Names

So my husband and I are restoing a 23' sleekcraft, and my idea was to put a small wet bar in the front cuddy area, and a removable poker table that goes on the back motor box. So the name would be " Liquor in the Front Poker in the rear"

Pic of my concept w/ the logo.

While I have heard that saying more times than I can count I don't think I have ever heard it from a woman.
That makes it even funnier.

Re: Boat Names

I'm in the process of a rebuild/conversion of an old 17-1/2' SeaRay. Turning it into a highly modified fishing rig. The project is just getting started, but the name has already been determined. I'm gonna call her "The Hooker" or maybe just "Hooker" I think it'll fit nicely.

I had an old 17' stingray that I redid and named her "Weekend Hooker"

Re: Boat Names

The boat we have now is the Deacon, my friend renamed it the Flea-can. I run Davis Cabins, the new boat could be named Cabin Fever or the new england accent Fevah like the screen name. We'll see what the family vote decides.

Re: Boat Names

Mine has went by many names as I wait for it to name itself. The wife started calling it the "Turd" when brought it home because it's so ugly. But it ran so good, she considered upgrading Turd to "Bow Movement". Hints at the same thing, but it's nautical and not an outright insult. Since it's funky 60's era blue, she wanted to call it "Dago Blue", since I'm Italian and I make wine and slang for home made wine is Dago Red. We also briefly considered calling it "Blue Cocky" because it rhymes with a word that I can't even begin to describe the meaning of on this forum. Some of the real sickos here will get it though. When I parked the ugly thing in my yard, it was mere days after my next door neighbor put their house on the market. So we though about calling it "Property Value Killer", but it's sort of lame.

The current name that we may go with is "Blue Hulls". Cause it's blue, and a tri-hull. And when you say Blue Hulls, it sounds like... well never mind. What can I tell you, we're perverts.... ;-)

Re: Boat Names

Thought about naming mine "Damn Boat" cause after I got it my girl would say "we could go out and eat if you hadn't bought that damn boat" or
"we could pay our bills if you hadn't bought that damn boat." After packing her up and out I didnt think I would catch any fish on a boat with that name so I'm thinking of "Bloody Decks" Or "Salty Paws" any thoughts??

Since the boat replaced her, maybe "Mistress of Mine"
