Yeah that fuel tank pick-up doesn't look right at all. Seems to me iBoats had these. The black tube shouldn't be on there, it looks like it was added. You'll have to measure from the bottom of the tank to top to get the right pickup. I would also change the anti-siphon valve which is the part with the barbed end the rubber hose attaches to.

Almost sounds like a miss, but engine seems to be running fine. Are the motor mounts tight? Sounds like the motor is banging something. Like something is too close. Where is the sound coming from?

hi chuck, seems like rear of the motor maybe coupler but i cant tell, next time i go to the boat ill stick my head down into the bilge and look under the motor

front mount is tight for sure and im pretty sure the back mounts are tight becasue i couldnt do the alignmet without tightening them first

i will double check tho wont be the first time i made a mistake :watermelon:

hey chuck i was thinking about what you said and you may be 100 correct! i havent secured the steering cable to the arm that comes out the transom plate or tightend down the two big steering bolts upper and lower because i have to align the steering wheel straight and adjust from the back because their is only one spline (key) on the sterring wheel oh my gosh!!!! im going to be sooooooo happy if that is whats making all that noise. I'll have to add you to my list of iboat heros!!! :watermelon::D

Clcking sounds like shutters in the exhaust. The roughness... you might do a compression check and then run a vacuum gauge on the intake. Compression will tel you how good the rings are, vacuum will tell you a lot about valves.

Thanks Rick, I pulled the out drive and lifted the motor up about an inch or so thinking maybe I didn't put the double wound lock washer on, but it was there , I could tell the fiber washer was there because I could feel it with my finger, I'm looking up the exhaust shutters now

the metal is exposed and the rubber bends back away from the metal on both sides, good call Rick, if it changing it doesnt eliminate the noise it was good preventative maintence
