Hey Troop.

I know this is a bit off subject but you mentioned pecans...........I have lived at this at my current location for about four years and it has one heck of a pecan tree.
I heard that pecan trees only produce pecans every other year.........This tree has produced pecans by the 5 gallon buckets every year single so far.
Obviously its not true being that this one is producing, maybe I'm just hopeing this tree is special.:D

I snapped this the other day wile I was working on the boat. Limbs are getting heavy but I ain't trimmin' this guy.

np on subect change...I do it all the time..hope the followers don't mid...I think it gives a little spice to the boredon=m of sanding..and pictures of results from sanding....

I have been down here 6 years...and I have noticed a pattern with the pecans...every other year they produce more...not exactly sure why...but it happens...We should be able to get 1000 or more pounds this year...according to how things have went in previous years... we usually get anywhere from .55 to 1.00 a lb. not bad ...but alot of work getting them off the ground and sorted...

I,d like mine shelled and in pie form please ! :p

these are what they call native pecans...too small to crack via automated means....and I don't have the patience to do it myself...and have no idea how to make a pie :)

Re: '78 Ebko Lebaron - Therapy

little update while I wait for it to finish sprinkling...got 95% of the outside areas sanded down to the original finish...

question 1: in order to put gel coat on this thing..do I need to be taking the flake finish off? I'm assuming this is gelcoat that holds the flake...

question 2: is there any give with gelcoat? Meaning the front area that has the flex whn I move it..do I need to have the cap on where it will be after final assembly before putting the gel coat on?

question 3: all the holes that are for the screws holding the cap to the hull...do I fill these? or let them be and spray gel coat over them?

Hope you all are having a great saturday!

Re: '78 Ebko Lebaron - Therapy

well the rains stayed at bay...got all the paint off the cap...that was alot of sanding...by hand...no to let it dry from the washing I gave it and mark everything that needs filled...then an acet=one wash and start filling...who knows...I may even have enough time to sand some more! Yay!!!!

Awfully quiet around these parts...hoping you all are fishing or something better.....

Proof of sanding acknowledged and accepted...

Me, I spent quality time with my wife's car...{Saturday} replacing the driver's power seat frame and doing some maintenance & Today was Family time with the in-laws having a pig out and pass-out at a great little local sports bar...called "Scully's"...it was featured in Guy Fiere's Food Network show..."Diner's, Drive-In's and Dives"...really awesome eats!

Other than that, gonna watch the paint dry for another week, then plan on flippin...;)

Have an awesome week!
