Update:

So I finished the SR cabin, installed radar and gps, cleaned up and restriped the exterior. Its now been shipped to a marina in Waretown, NJ to have the engines dewinterized and checked out. Then launched and put in slip on Barnegat Light.

Still waiting for the dock guy to repair the dock from some damage last season. So I got a few more weeks to finish the CC. Started redoing the engine cowl.

I have the correct gray paint and period decals to put on.

Still have to paint the bottom, a few gel spots on the console to fix, have to rebuild the carbs, change the tilt fluid, change the lower gear oil, install the front cushions, install the radar dome....and probably a few other details and shes all ready.

Cut the grass, opened the cottage last week, cant wait to have her moored again after many years of layup.

Thanks Micky.

I got the base coat on the cowling, after it cures a bit, gonna clear coat it, and put decals over the clear.

One of the bolts broke off when removing the vent cover, so i had to drill that out and re-tap it, so that took a while.

I'll hit it within the recoat window, but its real humid out there right now, so its slow to set up. Too soon and it will wrinkle. It stopped raining now so im gonna go back out a little later.

The radar dome and wire cam in, so did the stabilizing braces for the t-top. Just have do the gel repairs on the old screw holes in the console, then the braces and dome can go on.

I also got a case of yamalube tc3 oil, trim fluid, and lower gear oil. Having trouble getting the trim fill screw off, nothing is ever just easy.

I got a few more things done this week, I installed the front cooler cover and backrest. I also installed the t-top front bracing.

1655007691407.jpegI removed and cleaned the 3 carbs on the yamaha, changed the lower gear oil. I also changed the tilt and trim fluid, but its still not working, guess ill have to rebuild the cylinders, but that will have to wait till fall, I want to launch this soon.
