A nice line of LED's buried in clear running along the chine, yeah, KIT2000 style. Bringing it back? You do sort resemble Michael Knight, don't you??

Chine LED's will make underwater hull inspections easier. I'd recommend white only, and definitely no color fades in & out. Vertigo is not fun!:D

Geez, only 800 & 1000G left, & some polish/wax, and you knocked of in time to post before 12midnight? What the he!! dude, part-timing this redo? Oh, wait, that's, um, yeah, aahh, that's me....:facepalm:The

600 looks great, really be screaming shiny after the next 2 or 3 steps.

I know I'm a slacker, lol And you figure me out!

Hey Buggy, The lights you listed should work just fine. Not sure what you meant by daisy chaining? Looks like there 5 meter just like the ones I ordered, but the quality of those lights look like the white ones I have which are imo better than what I ordered. just cleaner looking. Make sure you are getting what you think your getting. It shows two different remotes.;)

Saw the outdrive, looks good. I got my disks from a local place. My outdrive is on the to do list, did it last season, and by season end it had peeled outer paint to primer.

I will post up a link in a few minutes on the products I used for the bottom and hull sides. . They are indasa rhino film disks, hook and loop 6 inch I believe, I used them with a 5 inch sander. $25 a box, 50 in a box. Half the price of 3m film discs.

I used 600, 800, 1000, 3m compound by hand. No wax yet. Wax will not make it shiny, it is a protectant only. Get the shine first, then wax. If your hull is in good shape, no scratches just start with 1000 grit and then compound.

LOL @ Lord of the Light...

We'll leave the light on for ya,lol

what i meant by daisy chaining was to put the sets together in line one snapped to the other. yep similar to yours for sure but some differences, little transisters etc kinda poking up between the lights all pressure sensitive, when you run your fingers across them while connected to power but off they lit up a lil bit:facepalm: . not sure but it looked like the ones you got had more of a covering on them, before the tube goes over. another thing i noticed is that your rf seemed simpler with the terminal set up, especially when it comes to hooking up to 12 volt. the ones i was lookin at you had to cut the wire to expose the wires needed to hook up to a switch or power.
all in all prolly 6 in one hand half dozen in another.
same led's etc.
yep the confusion for me was the pics under the main pic, i think thats how i ended up buying the non waterproof ones by mistake:eek:

Don't remember, will have to go back and look. Its in the thread somewhere. I used oem paint ordered from ebay. The primer stayed, will sand down and paint again. Maybe using an eching primer.

Thunder is 2 weeks before derby which is may 8th. got a few weeks to get everything buttoned up. Will want to put it in a couple weeks before to do testing and test runs. Gps figures. Make sure everything that worked last year works this year etc. Time to get the lowrance stuff out.

I got the 6 inch on purpose so when sanding corners and around chines, it would get into the corner easier. Worked great.

The film disks are different from regular disks, there just bad azz.:)

If your just doing the hull sides etc, just start with the 1000 if using the film disks, then polish with compound.

Simple green or purple degreaser works great, but dilute the purple power stuff. It will also strip the wax on anything that you want to shine/compound/sand.

Its beautiful here to, but has been hot as hell down on the river working. I am burnt to a crisp already and its not even spring yet. :( Hope this isn't a clue of how hot it going to be all season. If so, the summer will be to hot to friggen boat. rrrrrrrr

Got the stern leds fixed, I hate soldering. anyone have any tricks for doing really small soldering. 4 wires right next to ech other sucks to solder.

Here's some pics that tickle my fancy baaahaha:D

No progress on the boat but here are some pics of the river project. Got the stair system in and cut into the rock. The next step will be to install 4x6 railing post and deck the top landings. Then will be waiting for more decking material to arrive to finish the entry down to the next build that will be on the other end. Once the railings go up, it will really show well, I have a very certain way I do my posts and finish. Unlike most other decks built.

Will get some more time on boat projects this coming weekend. Yeah

i cant remember:facepalm:, the green part shining on the rear under side of the hardtop, do you have it mounted in the door to the overhead? or above the box? can you see the lights there from the back of the boat? that light there will be valuable on the water, great idea!
