I tried to just burn with my wood burning kit but that didnt work so i used a dremel then torched it then sanded.

hahah yeah right only because you most likely haven't tried, I'm sure if you put your mind to it , i have seen ya work :) if you cant ,you'd figure it out:) got to hit you up once i finally get to fabric work :)

the transom is finally about complete, haven't put my oil drain on yet, trying to decide location. its dirty , i will clean the rust stain from the drain up , but I'm thrilled i got all the scuppers in:)

All looking good Micky. Whos' scuppers did you end up getting? On mine I'm gonna wait I think until I see the water level.

Just some attwoods , the face on them is replace able i did mine because i really had no choice, inside if i didnt then it would be way harder after i reinstall the wiring and power steering on starboard side, its been hard to get motivated on that part so i pressed on lol

I didnt waste time yet on painting the outdrive cause i wanna make sure it will be the one i keep on the boat , have to test it first :)

Well, this one i got on the boat was freshly rebuilt but that worries me more then a all original, i got 3 atm, threw one away because it was superthin in spots from pitting, that was original one from boat, and boat had sunk since a hole was eaten rt through gimbal housing

Like the big boat I showed before that is my brother in laws that past. It sank because of one of the outdrives rotted like that.

well sadness strikes ... i need to replace the dang steering cable ! i got the old one out easy enough , just wish id checked it before recapping, lol and someone had stripped the pivot bolts on the transom plate so i got a tap coming for them as well,
should have pre checked them but they looked fine, however when i went to hand install them they were binding up like some one had cross threaded before. ahh well minor setback no pics to show yet as nothing new just been finishing oddball wiring and stuff :)

so went and picked up new steering kit , man that was a smart buy , steering is flawless now:) got it installed and the threads chased on the transom plate, now back to what i was doing before this mess reared its ugly head!
