I still dont understand why folks think running a engine without a thermostat is a wize choice...

Cuz they are negligent to how a motor actually operates. There are actually ENGINEERS who figure out the optimum thermal efficiency of a motor and then specify what the ideal operating temperature would be (thermostat temp rating). Then those people make that decision for 2 reasons... They figure the colder it runs the better! OR... it was overheating and they thought the correct solution was to not figure out why but remove the thermostat.

Hoping for you that you had the first case and not the second. I'd keep an eye on your temp gauge at first to make sure you don't have clogged up manifolds/risers.

that's the funny thing , everything is brand new, riser elbow, engine flows well just never had a thermostat and the exaust was clogged with a bad flap from the exhaust shutter,

Wait - are you saying that people that went to college to learn the art of engineering, then actually design and create an engine, know more than us shade tree mechanics???

BLASPHEMER!!!!!

(but for the record, I'd never run without the proper t-stat. I am a backyard mechanic, but I don't pretend to know more or skip corners. much.)
