Dizzy.. question for you.
Am I seeing your pics correctly? Did you have to remove your entire motor splash pan to insert the new plywood? My transom has a cap accross the top that looks like it's all one piece like molded/welded/connected to the splash well. I have the same boat as you I believe.
YES!... The splashwell may come off as one piece..I didnt know that...I am rebuding mine and will put it back in as one piece. Just finished reskinning the new transom and making patch panels for the hull

It'll take more than that to adequately float a 220V. I did the math, as best I could, for what the statutory requirement would be for my 22ft V5 SS (at its listed capacity/weight) and it came to like 12-13 in of foam (calculating conservatively as I didn't weigh the boat, and assumed that anything I couldn't account for was aluminum). 9 in of that were to float my powerplant and the load of the boat.

3 in of foam is under 500 pounds of flotation (or enough to float around 750 pounds of mostly-submerged aluminum). It, along with your wood, will float the hull but not be up to standards.

Thank you for sending that....
You're probably not that far off without needing to float an 1100 pound powerplant on top of your load capacity...however the worst thing in the world is packing full of foam...but not enough.

Was the original design for a center console or did the PO modify it?

As I have no measurements and if nobody else chimes in, you might be able to look at your stringers and piece together where there are extra holes. Should get you fairly close to original location.

Windy every day has slowed down the foam installation...looks like its gonna take 10-11 sheets...all deck boards are cut, preserved and urethane. Tackled rebuilding trailer bunks...for rid of the old lumber and replaced with polyurethane coated 2x6 (no more carpet)...also added 3/4" HDPE sliders on the bunks...moved the console and bench seat into the garage...so I can get started on them

Rivet question? Looks like replacing the factory original carpet will be much easier if I remove the rod holder brackets etc....( factory carpet was installed under all these brackets then riveted) Any idea what length rivets these would take? Didnt see them mentioned in the "rivets sticky"
