Here are some updates from yesterday

Managed to get epoxy on the back sides of the side bolsters, etc.

then managed to get some foam on the dash pad and start with some of the dash filler panels.

hit the bubbles, drips, etc. with the DA.

thinning the batch with about 5% acetone made the difference......... it was also 25 degrees warmer.... that probably helped

the foam I am using on the dash pads is a higher density then the side bolsters, so I am contouring the edge with a razor.

AllDodge , exactly. should have the dash pads done tonight, then the side bolsters and side consoles finished tomorrow (just need to staple the vinyl). then I can install the EVA on the floor. from there its bolting in the seat bases and seats.

the aft most flip up seat back needs to be rebuilt/re-upholstered as the wood simply all delaminated. however that will wait until after splash.

then the drive needs final paint and be hung..... that is planned for during the week, however to be finished next weekend.

the last weekend of the month, the Admiral is out of town on a girls weekend. so I plan on wrapping up all but the cabin upholstery prior to the Super-Bowl. The cabin can happen after first splash.

A bit of progress and a bit of setback...........

first, the progress........aft side bolsters done

layer of foam trimmed. (I cheated, when I did the epoxy, I simply dropped it on the foam when the epoxy was still tacky

got the red courtesy lighting in the bulwark openings and installed the dash pads

the pic on the camera doesnt do it justice...... they look harsh in the pic, and its a nice warm red glow in reality.

wired up the compass

Sundays effort

tweek the radar arch a bit to get it to close easier. for that, used a hydraulic jack and a ratchet strap.

mounted the bimini

This Friday was valentines day with the admiral. followed by Saturday going to the Cortez Florida seafood festival via bikes..... we parked the truck at my bud Austin's house and pedaled our way the 5 miles down the road to the seafood fest..... the ride there was uneventful..... good food, good beer.....the ride back was the wheel of the bike going into a crack in the sidewalk and me ending up with road rash on the left leg.

Today, cleaned out the inside of the boat and started laying out the EVA foam

0216201452_resized.jpg

the seat bases are just set there for now

0216201651_resized.jpg

the wood frame is toast. pretty sure its a full-rebuild for the aft back-rest

the lay-down seats are in fair condition, with only the one seat base needing help. it cracked one day when I jumped over the windshield to land on the seat.
