I got some other things done.

been putting off assembling the vent boxes. mainly because its time consuming.

so, without further ado, pulled out the tin-knocking tools, vice grips, rivet gun, etc

using .030 aluminum so it forms easy

gutter screens from Home Depot. stainless, and about $3 for a 36 x 6" screen.

also works as a hood scoop screen

on another note, my upholstery guy is MIA. he had a scheduled routine surgery 3 weeks ago...... and now I cant get in touch with him.

he has two of my arm rests, and was supposed to stitch together my side bolsters, then move on to the new seat covers.

!@#$!@#$ local guys wont touch the vinyl I have because "they didnt supply it"

Mother-in-law wont use her upholstery and quilting machine on vinyl because it cost more than a car.

Spent some time working on the gunwale bolster panels

the front panels need to be redone to be symmetrical. I softened the curves and relaxed the angles.



I am also getting rid of fasteners and securing with X-mas tree fasteners or hidden T-nuts

next panel being made. original wood has decided to part. I also am changing the panel a bit and relaxing the trim

Making templates..... and yes..... ran out of whiskey....

each panel is currently epoxy coated, then hosed down with appropriate color to help visualize. I have since DA'd the panels and will be wrapping the trim in 1/4" foam prior to stapling the black and red vinyl.

the original panel used stainless wood screws. the new panels use 10-32 T-nuts and I bondo'd over the end to smooth it out. since I am stepping up the workmanship a bit why not go all out.
