a bit of fine-tuning on the side bolsters on Saturday. measure twice, cut once..... then when it finally gets installed, needed to trim the return on the top slightly. the thickness of the vinyl shifted the panel aft about 3/32

first removing staples I just installed a few weeks ago.

Also mixed up some paint. I had some parts painted at work with Imron. wanted to match that color with Rusoleum because I do not have the money left for a $750/gallon bucket of paint.

first, the color is called "stardust" its a smoke-grey metallic with a hint of blue

So, pick up 2 quarts of metalic aluminum, 1 quart of black and one quart of royal blue

into the can go the two quarts of aluminum. then I was sneeking up on the color. first 600ml of black and 240ml of the royal blue. the color looked correct until it dried. final mix prior to shooting turned out to be 2 qts aluminum, 1 qt black and 1 qt royal blue

Sunday was scuffing, masking, and then spraying the outdrive pieces

I have discovered that I am currently looking for at least 5 small pieces of the outdrive that have been misplaced over the past 2 years......

welllll

a 1/2 hour job is one broken fastener from a 3 hour ordeal.

this weekend

kick panels done
one side bolster in
new stanchions made for the bimini
wired the bennett trim tabs
wired the controls

still need to finish wiring the tilt/trim gauge

spent 6 hours pulling stuff out of the cabin and cleaning it

glued in the pivot bushing into the outdrive fork

Monday evening was spent making phenolic shims and re-assembling the reverse latch assembly

little progress this weekend. spent most of Saturday getting mulch and stuff for the house

installed the mid-section on the outdrive. the Sierra kits didnt have all the o-rings. Sooo..... pull out my o-ring kits
0315201730a_resized.jpg0315201730b_resized.jpg0315201730c_resized.jpg

The area at the bottom of the cabin is an empty chamber. I may make a stainless lockable locker and simply cut-off the 6" of rot.

did some more wiring to finish the trim gauge...... only to find all I get from the trim system is a "click" of the relays. need to look at the circuit breaker feeding the trim pump

did some measuring of the cabin area. need to formulate a plan tonight.

A well know member would/has said this

check the connections at the pump wiring

make sure they are good and clean and tight

should be ATF or 30 weight in the trim system. check your drive manual.

troubleshooting guide in the manual as well (last section)

I know..... I also replaced the permanent fuse at the starter to a remote mounted circuit breaker with a manual reset. I never checked to see if the reset was pressed or there is voltage on the other side of the CB. I will pull off the engine cover and crawl in the bilge tonight

Thinking the CB was flakey.

Wiggled the manual reset because it wasnt tripped..... However, trim/tilt pump works now.
