Have my NIB Corsa exhaust diverters sold. Had them on CL for about a month. A canuck snow-bird with a Chris-Craft had his actuators stolen.

so the question is....... take the cash and buy the radar arch or the new Garmin

Need the radar arch for mounting the VHF antenna
Need the garmin to avoid hitting submerged boats again

decisions......

The 6' VHF antenna I had was screwed to the side of the boat. since I filled those holes and now have fender cleats in that area, I had to move the antenna. I also eliminated the bimini mounts, so the intent is a radar arch.

I was planning on making one, however for just a tad less than what I am selling the corsa diverters and harnesses for, i can pick up a NOS wake-board tower / radar tower from a Monterey 268 from Marine surplus, and modify it slighly

Figured you could just drill more holes, but arches are nice and gets the antenna up higher. My Formula is on the arch and Rinker on the hull 8 footers on both.

I sometimes run a few miles off shore, so the added height will be needed.

plus the arch makes a nice base for a modified bimini that may actually stay on the boat with the higher speeds with the new motor....

Man it all looks fantastic! I would kill for that kinda room lol
i feel like i have packed a ton of engine in a bay not made for it, the 4 cyl fit so nice and purty but this v8 has a ton more stuff with closed cooling, could never look as nice and neet as a non fresh water cooled

Have a line on another radar/wakeboard arch on CL that may not need modification.

Working on the bracket design right now to tie the gunwale to the sole

Will it be tall enough to have a bimini under it?

I hope so, here is a pic from the interweb with the factory Bimini. my gunwales are a bit higher so there should be plenty of room....... not to mention the wife and I are both in the 50% for height....... (maybe the 65th percentile on weight.....or more......)

I will be taking the current existing Bimini that I modified originally to fit the boat and re-doing the bows and canvas for the new arch, etc.

current canvas is red, going to try that first, then make new as needed.

Here is what the boat looked like with the old Bimini

Meeting the guy with the white radar arch today over lunch...... Love it when a plan comes together.

sold the exhaust diverters for $475
buying the arch for $400

putting the $75 into the boat fund coffee can.

New will-fit towers from Monster are on sale right now for $599. They do not fold

a bit of progress this weekend.

with the motor in place, I could not reach the thru-hull location for the bilge discharge.....

reaching with a pliers could not get there......

Now not only can I get my arm in there to connect the bilge discharge, I can also re-locate the blowers on the port side.
