a bit of progress.

this folks is a 30% chance of rain in Florida.... everywhere else, 30% is a probability. in Florida, its the percentage of your property being rained on.

so I have about 50 items on the hit-list....

some would only take about 20 minutes without the engine in place..... and with swearing and contorting..... about 8 hours.

didnt have access to the crane this past weekend or the motor would have come back out.

however..... gratuitous side shot

modifications of the purchased spring-loaded bumper cleats.... the e-clip is bigger than the hole the cleat mounts in. so I am having the end of the mushroom drilled and tapped so I can use a screw and washer. will then add a drain line down to the bilge as they do leak a bit.

installed the step lights. using a 9 volt battery for now to make sure wiring is good to go.

and every afternoon it starts raining at about 4pm until about 9pm. I leave work at 5.... my yard is too wet to walk to where the boat is sinking into it in order to work on the list.

Mother Nature does not want this boat finished.....

However it sure beats shovelin' snow and winterizin' boats

2 hour projects will turn into a 3-day ordeal when you damage/bend/break/wreck a bolt

stripped out the threads on the v-band clamp on the exhaust...... in frustration, taking the dogs to the dog park for a walk....

back to working on the boat...... spent most of the day scrubbing lizard **** off the boat. damn things had a poop-a-palloza fest on the foredeck. spend 3 hours scrubbing the non-skid, then needed bleach to remove the poop stains

cleaned out the cockpit and bilge too. 2 months of rain, dust, and damp weather did its job..... spent a total of 6 hours scrubbing.

then the wind took the 10 x 20 canopy for a ride. Wife says dogs barked and it was gone. had to pull it out of the neighbors sugar magnolia trees. then pull it apart, flip it over, duct tape the rips, and re-assemble.

finally got the foredeck non-skid waxed.

for every 3 items on the list I knock off, another 2 get added... at least I am gaining ground
