Bit of an update

received the remainder of my order from TMS on Saturday.

fought with the windows to get the glazing in and everything compressed to get the screws in

we found out that the two of us were no match.

stepped in the fuel tank access hole twice....made up new swear words

Called a buddy to come over with his friend. then we lifted the window assembly in place, and shot a few screws in it

Happy dad day to all.

If I ever get things the way I want, I want to replace my dash and couple other areas, so plan to pick your brain for some ideas.

On a side note: had one of my grand kids out this weekend and let her drive the boat (6 years) and she had a ball. Me to but not to let it over whelm me to much so you know

Thanks for the tag Scott: I've been off kilter checking the topic over the last month with my Dad being sick. Lots of road time to Michigan. - - I had to go back and read a few pages of stuff ...

... and it looks awesome! What's really cool is how much bigger it looks than the render does. It's gonna' look fantastic on the water, but you did an amazing job on the paint. It looks fast just stittin' on the trailer :D

The boat looks like it is coming along nicely. I like the way the Cruisers have the side vent window . . . very cool feature. It seems like a few cuts and scrapes always come with boat work.

Looking forward to progress pictures, it is getting close.

Im on the mailing for new stuff from Malibu boats all the time because they make custom tenders and boats for the white-boat crowd.

read this and had to laugh.

this sums up power boating..... its all about the torque

this weekend was spraying the cockpit sole and inner gunwals

this included laying out the interior to get the non-skid pattern

the engine cover didnt lay down as smooth as I would have liked, however for now its good enough

had my half-face respirator fail during the spray. the elastic has worn out.

the non-skid is a bit muted on the interior as compared to the exterior swim deck, etc.

the last bit of gel will be the bilge. have to first clean out the fuel tank hole

climbing in the bilge under where the fuel tank goes, I found the internal to cruisers hull number. 240058. so mine is the 58th 24 foot

Nice find. . . All that I found on the guts of my boat was markings of the serial portion of the HIN.

Headed in bare foot in a bit. Temp still 94 with 88% humidity and the AC and beer is so much better than the weather outside.....if everything looks good, going to hose down the interior with wax

#!@#@!$!@# insects

some sort of flying or crawling needs to die type bug built mud nests in all the transom holes.

all the holes for the transducers, trim tabs, etc. filled from mud from both sides

luckily when i re-did the transom back in 2012, each hole in the wood was over-sized and filled with PB

so..... i grabbed a syringe with a #16 needle filled it with dexcool, and poked into the mud covering and filled the cavity with antifreeze

tomorrow I will poke what ever dead critter(s) is/are in there out the other side

boats are an adventure.

hoping to finish the bilge this coming weekend, then get the fuel tank back in.
