Yeah, us OKIES could USE some of that HEAT!!!!
Yeah, us OKIES could USE some of that HEAT!!!!
That got some more of the black off, and lightened it some, just not enough for what I want
It dries quick in the sun, so I could get multiple sessions.
Next i mixed up some acid at bleaching strength 1 hefty tbs/pint water
that got it a little further along, plus its approaching the shade im looking for..light blond
the grooves are clearing up now and almost reeady for the finish sanding on the edges, then reassemble and take the top deck section flat....im putting it together so i dont get any proud boards by sanding individually on the top surface.
Teak looks great all cleaned up! Nice work w/ the HF tumbler.
Looking great Zool!!! I like the light blond look as well!! Really Nice Stuff!!!
Thanks, I'm gonna order one this week from HF. Hey just an FYI, on a hunch I have some "Bar keeper's Friend" from Walmart. It's a scouring powder with a bleaching agent and only costs a couple of bucks. I've been soaking my stainless hardware now for a couple of hours and it's stripping the oxidation off of the 45 year old stuff. Maybe something to check out...
Teak looks good to me the way it is...
