Um, is OSB the correct plywood for a structural application of this nature?

What weight cloth will you be using?

Do you need to alternate layers of heavy roven (woven?) w/ CSM?

What's PB?

What's CSM?

How much overlap w/ 1st layer of glass onto OSB at joints? 2nd? 3rd?

Is this a poly or an epoxy best practices application?

Where are you getting all your supplies?

Wait, what?

Oh, it's the winter dry dock & plastic cover, not a boat

Never mind then. :watermelon: :faint2:

As you were: Carry on......

Pssst: nice work on the rebuild/revamp........

Yea, I figured but wanted to check.

I noticed you have a bit more holding the plastic to the ribs of the structure. I would think you might want some more fastening of the plastic to the ribs, just to fight off the next wind storm.

I wish I had something like that for my boat . . . but no space on my property for it :(

yep, it definately needs some more tweaking, and some tie downs, but I want to run thru the rest of the medium epoxy catalyst I have, then ill finish it up and try the fast cure..

If I had a trailer big enough for it, I could have skipped the whole tent and backed it in a barn....Im gonna use the boat for a few years here, then either take it with me to florida, or sell it and move up in size again....

Hey man, lookin good! :thumb: that 'chipboard' stuff will actually live quite a while outside (longer if you paint it) before it goes completely soggy.. The house I owned about 4 years ago has a little 10x12 shed in the back (that I built when i bought the place.. so that's 8 years ago now) and i never got around to siding it before I sold.. even left materials there for the new owners, but they have yet to do it...now, although its looking pretty rough at this point, its still holding up, I can see it from the road when I drive by once in a while..

Nice job on the rebuild. This current weather pattern upon us now really stinks. I had wanted to get my project Sea Ray all covered up for the winter last weekend but my family had different plans for me. LOL Hoping to get it done tomorrow before the next wave of weather. Hope your shelter holds up to cold rain and snow we are getting over the next few days. Keep up the good work and have a great weekend.

Thanks for all the wishes guys, It seems pretty solid for now, so I think it will be fine. It is gonna be cold this weekend, so if no sun, ill try the propane heater in there..besides, if it does come down again, looks like there will be plenty of room in Arches new barn, between Miss Morgan, and the toon :D

Picked up a medium sized tumber from harbor freight today, to run all the fasteners thru.....

Update:

Outside temp = 39 Deg F
Bubble temp = 66 deg F
RH = 54%
Partial Sun
no heat added

So I was able to get some tabbing in on the stringer and bulkhead

Also hit some of the teak with 100grit by hand at 1st, then a few passes with the orital

The golden color is coming right back, this was the underside, and the texture is like rough sawn lumber......well, not anymore...smooth now :)
