It sure is, I went out there this morning to measure the hatch opening, but became fascinated with the thermometer, and forgot why i was out there lol. The temp gains so far are about 10 to 15 degrees, but without the wind chill, the gains feel alot more, the air is still inside the bubble. I wear a sweat shirt outside, then just a tshirt in there....hope it continues when it really starts to get cold! We'll see.

I had a cousin who lived in Northern California that had a similar structure to yours. As a kid I remember going in it in the spring and fall and I was always amazed how warm and humid it was. In the winter time, he would cover the the top with moving blankets and tarps to keep the heat in from his growing lamps and propane heaters to keep his crops growing well past their normal growing cycle .......
He is now serving 7 years for his crop growing, and the local sheriff bulldozed it into the ground, but it was warm..........:D

hmmm, you do look a little suspect in your avatar..lol

They're trying a quasi script thing here too, but since Jersey has become "The Great State of Moscow"..all you need to do is produce your death certificate, and youre good to go....

No worries, I stopped going in the woods after seeing Deliverence:facepalm:

I knew it was just a matter of time before this thread started degenerating lol.....I guess I should get some more done on the boat, before the Mods come kicking the door down :)

Im hoping to get the rest of the wood cut this week, to finish the rear deck bracing, and the mini stringers under the shelves....Then I can finish glassing it all in, and start the plumbing for the water hold/pump.:angel:

I got the rear bracing measured and cut....just got to round it over and wet it.

today the temp inside was about 5 deg highter than outside, ...but the humidity was more than double

Arch, an extra piece of plastic left on the ground in the tent shows where its coming from....:D...saved a hundred there!

What else goes in that area between the bulkheads where the tank sits? Just storage, or is there equipment of some sort in there?

The 2 insulated fish boxes, port and starboard take up much of the side areas, on top of the tank, sits the water holding tank on brackets, strapped down. The piece of deck that sits over the area forward of the firewall is basically 3 hatches, with framing. I still may add cross braces between the fish boxes and the tank inspection hatch..

the top left corner of the pic is the section.

Im going to reroute the cpvc water piping along the tank side of the firewall, instead of in the engine bay..also put the pressure pump in there, that will clean up the engine side nicely, just for the battery charging system, and fuel seperators.

My plan now, between glassing everything in, is to gather everything i need for what gets done over the winter, and store it all in the one shop...so i dont have to dig thru the freezing barns looking for stuff. I dug out an old pantry cabinet, that has shallow shelves on a rotating insert, it spins like a lazy susan cab. Im thinking i can put plasic bins on the shelves, and store up the new and recycled fasteners ill need....the backside has rounded shelves.

Update:

I made up the two short stringers to supports the shelves..I had to lam them to make 50.75" from the remaining 48" section left...used up pretty much all the ply with little waste.

test fitted them in,

laid the setups in place.

then took them in for finishing.

I started making 4 2x5 work tables...that i can put together for a big workspace..to do upholstery and interior laminates, then separate and roll along the walls.

All the rest of the substructure wood, ready for coating.
