We had some extremely high winds last night. When I got home from dinner, I found the boat almost in the neighbor's yard. Took a while to get it back in the dri away, but it's there and back in work.

The hull is ready for the fuel tanks and the top. Everything has been coated in resin with glass between and screwed together using deck screws

Fuel tanks are in, motor mounts are in, bottom is done. Top half is now done, short of filling in some of the holes in the floor that was used to pull the plywood up to the lower deck and upper deck. And the top half is on the bottom half, finally.

Transom with most of the little holes filled and gel coated over prior to the top going on. Gimble ring and housing is now installed in the transom. Tonight the top gets glued and screwed to the bottom with 3M's 5200.

After going through the parts box, I found these items. A brass fitting in the top fill hole for an Alpha unit, I think it was off of an 86 Welcraft. And the line that goes with it between the lower unit and the fill bottle.

Since I have a 1983 Alpha, which I've been told that it's an MR (pre-Alpha), should I use this? Or just put a plug in the top where the fitting is? To be more clear, the 83 lower does not have a fitting, but the 86 does.

All caught up on this build. That is a cool looking boat, what a great find. Grasshopper is lucky you found her. Nice work getting this far.

This is pretty much a photo update. I have been able to re-align the front of the two halves. When we first got the boat, the top over hung the bottom by 3/4 to 1" in the front. Some gentle massaging with some ratchet straps and a hammer and its' now aligned. Will be getting glued and screwed tonight when I get home. Enjoy the pics.
