Provided it has been well cared for, and is funtioning properly.... they are a great motor. The 115 you refer to specifically is one of the best Merc stacks built. Known to be a good performer.
The V6 motors tend to have a bit more acceleration, but price wise you won't see much difference from a spare parts perspective.
Hard to kick the tires over the net, but street value would typically be hovering above 1K for that motor in good condition. Value depends a lot on geographical location, and supply/demand etc...
If you can test drive it, do so. If not you're gonna be stuck with a compresison/spark check and an inspection of the gearcase lube, wiring, and overall visual condition as a best guess.
Toss a coin and cross your toes.
