Don't think I'll be starting any classes, but sure could use some..
Was hoping someone would show me how to do this stuff..

Praying that things are getting better for your mother..

First I would like to say I've been missing reading and posting to the forum.
It's been a long time since I've logged on..

I don't have any new updates for the Deck Boat..
I've been having some health problems.. If you recall I twisted my ankle back about 2 years ago.
I did more damage than I thought.. I actually fractured it..
Over the last 2 years the bones became infected and last week I had to have my left foot amputated..
Everything is healing well and I hope to be up and running soon and back at the Deck Boat..

I am glad to be back on the forum and looking to forward to reading and posting again..

Kent:
Very sorry to hear about the health issues. I hope you heal up and can one day finish this labor of love that have worked so hard on. The forum has really not been the same the last few months... In fact, today is the first day I've logged on in a month or so.

Again, best wishes.

Take care,
Patrick

Dammit Decker, I hate to hear that! I hate it worser than an ol' 'possum hates an axe handle!!!

I hope they fix you up with a "blade" better than that South African boys... so you can run faster and jump higher, without mental anguish and murderous tendencies...

All the best to you Decker, and may you complete your project in spite of your unforeseen obstacles.

I, too, have wondered about your boat. I am sorry to hear that a serious health problem explains your absence. May you heal quickly and get back to work on the boat. Thankfully, it was not your hands as we all have proof, even pics, that they are capable of magic!

Stopping in to say Merry Christmas to all my friends here on I-boats.
Hope everyone has a great day tomorrow.:D

Want to thank each and everyone of you for your thoughts prayers and good whishes..

Been a long road for me this year, but I finally got my new legs today. That was my greatest gift this year, except for the Admiral hanging in with me..
Couldn't have made it without her..:love_heart:

Yes I did say Legs. Lost my right leg below the knee back in 1990 and my left leg below the knee this year..:violin:

I was able to walk today for the first time in 5 months..:triumphant:
Will take some time to get use to walking but I will be back at it in no time..
Here's a pic of my new update..

Merry Christmas Decker !!
So good to hear from ya ! Was wondering how you were doing .... Glad your hanging in there .. I didn't realize that you were already missing a foot .. With all that work you have done on your boat you are truly a man amongst men and are a very courageous dude my friend .
Ok now I gotta ask about these new feet .. Did they like make a mold of your legs to to form the cups or is it like a one size fits most kind of thing . And how do ya keep em attached to your legs ?
Keep the faith brother we are all pulling for ya ! Hopefully see ya back in action soon !!

Thank you sphelps for the kind words.

The cups or custom fit to each leg.. It was really cool how they made them.. He used a scanning gun and attached a sensor to my leg. Then he scanned my leg and it showed on his laptop in a three d picture. He sent the scans over to another shop and they used a CNC router to cut out the molds.. He said it would be accurate up to 1 mm.. They fit very well..
I use a gel liner that rolls up my leg and has a pin screwed in the end. The liner is like a large sock.. The
pin goes into a locking device in the bottom of the leg. There is a release button on the outside of the leg to let me take them off..

From my family to yours, HAVE A GREAT CHRISTMAS AND A BETTER NEW YEAR..:D
