Thinking of getting a propane space heater, too dangerous with the fumes you think? Or should I be ok?

If you're using polyester, the fumes are flammable. Epoxy fumes aren't. If you're using poly, I guess you could warm it up, then turn the heater off when you are fiberglassing.

Thanks guys, actually meant to edit that post. I had read through a couple other threads on here, seems that there are differing opinions on this subject. Ill most likely just heat the area up until I am ready to mix and apply, then use lights to keep the work area somewhat heated.

I got the second front, inside stringer glassed in today. I got the two front outside stringers bedded as well. Weather permitting, I'll try to get them glassed in tomorrow.

Hello, what memories I am recalling seeing your Tidecraft Rebuild!
Back in the day, we had a Tidecraft 18ft with a 200 Mercury. The thing would run 74mph!

Good luck, and it looks as if you are doing a primo job of restoration.....

"Thanks for the memories"

Ken

Love dem Tidecraft with the inverted v pads. You got a running son of a gun there specially wit da 140 on her. You are doing a GREAT job on the resto. I have a 94 model sitting in the garage I have to put a floor in when time permits. Keep up the good work.

I'm jealous!

... my boat just has decks, and yours has Floors.

LOL @ jigngrub.......dont be jealous....if you are like me floors are wasted......I LOVE a boat with decks....for instance Gambler/Sterling boats....nuttin but deck cept for the floor needed for when running.

Thanks guys. It looks like it's gonna be too cold for glassin' this week, but I've got some more demo to do on the cap. Some people don't need to attempt electrical wiring. I'm gonna have to totally rewire it, except the engine harness. I need to get some plumbing and my fuel tank ordered as well. More to follow.......

Dont let electrical wiring boggle your mind. Al least boat wiring is fairly simple. Just remeber when its on a switch all you have to do is break 1 line through the switch. Have any problems just holler.

I was referring to the PO's wiring skills, not mine. He had wires spliced into wires (using those blue, clip-on splices), wires cut here and there, and who knows what else. I haven't gotten it all sorted out yet.

My wires have never been touched, no rewiring for me, except for the new wiring I need to put in for some of the new equipment. :peaceful:

Sorry to hear about the temps up there, it's been almost 80 degrees over here, I'm burning up.
Hope you can get some glassin' done this weekend and Monday (if you have the day off).

Glad to hear your wiring is good.:thumb: I did get my stringers finished Saturday. I got my gas tank and my through-hull fittings delivered. I also managed to do a little re-design on my dash, but that's still a work in progress. Gonna try to get the front sole installed and tabbed in this week. I'm running low on epoxy, but I have some ordered. I'll post some pics soon.

Mock up on my dash. I want to have my GPS/Fish Finder inset in the dash.

exactly the tank I was considering getting but still a little ways of from that and not sure I can get into where I want it, if I put it in before cap goes back on it will be no issue, but then the issue becomes if I ever need to remove it

Just don't ever remove it! No......seriously, I think it will fit through one of my hatches, or compartment lids, should the need ever arise.

I think it might almost fit through my rear hatch it is rather large, does the tank have any sort of flex to it?

No, it's rigid. It's not as large as it looks. The filler neck is surely what would hang and could probably cut down, in needed?
