You don't want to mix anodes. Magnesium is not good in saltwater and can cause issues. I use Zinc on mine and like you do both Saltwater/freshwater.

As for the windshield, was thinking something pretty simple. Just an aluminum sheet that is bent to support the edge and then a cut out for the windshield (Plexiglass) and bolt on. Nothing extravagant and functional/cheap. Similar to this design, but just for one side.

That's an awesome idea I wasn't even thinking along those lines. Done right I can even still have the center open.
You got the gears turning. I was digging around for aluminum channel and what not and decided it was more than I wanted to spend right now. But that is a definite possibility. Especially since I could go back and level my dashes I'm not a fan of the slant they have.

No new photos yet. Just took everything apart and sealing it. Next weekend I'll be doing the wiring and assembling then and hopefully gett the splash well in and the doors on it.
The following weekend will be the last of the painting and putting the flooring in. And making new seat cushions for the front.
And lastly will be making a removable shelf unit for the center under the splash well

Hopefully some good pics coming this weekend. All my electronics should arrive by Friday. I am mounting the second fish finder on the passenger console for my girlfriend to use. Its an older one but she like the little fish pics. I am also Flish mounting my stereo and amp will be inside the console and I have a pretty nice VHF with one button distress call so should the worse happen her kids will know to press that button and wait for help to arrive and not to leave the boat. As I install the electronics I will be putting the consoles together. There will be access but for this first install its just easier to do it as I put them together. So this weekends plans are install all the electronics and wiring and get the consoles together and windsheilds mounted. I made t bolts for them last weekend since I cant find any small enough to fit the channel. If I have any spare time I will also get the splash well in.
The weekend after will be seats and paint and getting the bow rail shined up and mounted and the vinyl flooring in. Then the weekend after that I will make new cushions for the front and it will be done until the hard freezes here are done. Once they are done I will pull it out of the garage and mount the motor.
And this thread will for the most part end with its first splash unless some other issues arrive after that in which case I will update it so anyone reading this in the future can see some of the little things to think about. I am getting excited. Less than a months worth of work left. I am pretty proud that I will have redone this thing in I think it was a little under 6 months from pulling the first boat to a stripped hull then back to a boat.
I have found so much info on this site and from you all that it definitly made life much much easier.

Alright just got the outside painted. I think it's coming out great.
Got alot of wiring done. Vhf radio, stereo head unit. Anchor light running light bildge #1 and power points on and the spotlight.

Still gotta install all the speakers and wire up the amplifier, the blue interior lights and the LEDs in the speakers, and last but not least install the controls and gauges.
Gotta mount the bow rail antenna for vhf and my american flag. Put in the splash well make the door for the driver's console and the doors for the splash well and put the floor in. Once the hard freezes are done I'll put the motor on.
I am thinking about swapping the carbs and intake from my 90hp onto this one 75hp. The 75 is in much better shape and was maintained by the po much much better.

I rolled it on. I don't have the skills to spray it with a sprayer yet.
I also ended up last week having to order a new paint for the outside. Total Boat aluminum paint is absolutely trash. The total boat wet edge paint is awesome. It's a top side paint they say you can't submerge it for more than 72 hours. It might be once or twice a year my boat is in the water for more than 72 hours straight so I am not to worried.

It wouldnt stick it just beaded up like water. I had gotten it because it could be used below the water line. It was meant to go on raw or primed aluminum. It wouldnt stick to the raw aluminum ran off of it like water runs off a freshly rainex'ed windsheild. Coverage was non existent.
I spent a total of 45 minutes mixing and remixing. I may as well have used childrens water color paint to paint it.
Got another gallon of total boat wet edge topside paint(cant be under water for up to 72 hours) and all is well now. That paint is awesome. I suspect you can get away with it being under water for more than 72 hours occasionally.
So this isnt a knock to total boat just that particular total boat paint.
The little bit that I could get to stick even after giving it a little over a week to dry it was like powder and I could brush it off with my hand.
As far as my prep I lightly sanded it. Some was raw aluminum some was factory paint. It stuck to neither then I wiped it down twice with mineral spirits and then twice with ethanol so it was clean

The quilted fabric is a marine grade fake leather and it's what the front seat cushions will be done in.

They are really comfy sitting in my living room they are firm but not hard. I think they will be very comfortable out on the water. I can report back once I have had it out a few times.

Not much had changed. Finished all the wiring. Got the lighting in for night fishing the blue should help preserve night fishing. The windsheild is mounted. The controls are mounted and all gauges and tested everything but the tach I'm still figuring out which wires I need to tap into for it. Splash well going in tomorrow. Next weekend the windsheild and splash well will get 4200'ed and the bow rail will go back on. And I'm gonna get some trim work done.

They came out real nice the camera doesn't do them justice and being flush mount the look nice during the day too
