Hope everyone had a great Fathers Day weekend. My younger daughter and family came over from Michigan. We spent a cold Saturday afternoon fishing and I got to present them all with new custom rods.

Found what I thought was a short in the tilt/trim wiring was just a nut not properly tightened by the mechanic who worked on the motor last. Found several others that needed snugging up as well while I was in there.

Temps are finally decent, but can someone please clear the skies for awhile? The weather has been depressing. Bad enough to be working wounded. Xrays taken last week showed what I thought for the past few months to be arthritis in my right wrist is actually a tendon separation. I see a specialist in a few weeks.

Guess you'll have to switch to the left.:joyous:
Bummer to hear. Weather here is totally unpredictable also.
Best of luck Eric with the wrist.

Thanks Kev, at least now I know I can't keep bulling my way through the pain - just going to do more damage.

That just blows Eric! Makes me think about the couple of issues I've not been addressing. Grhhhhh! Plus it's summer now. Hmmmm.
Good luck and I hope all goes well.

Taking baby steps here lol. After work I got winter cover off and frame removed, put on the new registration numbers, stamps. Sylvan logos and USCG capacity plate. Not a whole lot left - just need some energy.

Sit in the sunlight for awhile like a plant. Especially after the crappy weather you've had. RE-GENERATE.

Wish I could - sitting drives me nuttier than a fruit cake.

The ignition plate I put on to mount the OMC switch left a big hole in the helm. Happened to be the perfect diameter for 1/2 of the dual voltage meter I planned to install, so I just drilled a 2nd hole along side it and got my unit installed. Just need to run the wires now.

Anyone know what these plugs are for on the Quicksilver control cables?

The large one with rubber boot should contain switched power, ground and tach signal wire.

Finishing touches look great :thumb:

Between this and a heavy duty strap on the stern, this boat isn't budging until I'm ready. Made 4 12ga straps to tie in the new bow stop assembly so there's no chance of slippage. Everything torqued to spec.

I heard he can go either way

Work is at a standstill again as darkness and rain has come upon us again. First sign was when the temps dropped into the low 60's - then an hour later almost night time dark. Now the thunder and more damned rain.

LOL now the boat about ready it is supposed to rain 2 weeks here to. Split second the 4rth crowd of drunks is off the river rain. Ah.

Weather let up enough to get out and do some more before I had to put the ribs on the grill.

Sometimes my ideas work ------ well not this time. I tried up use some "rare earth" magnets I had to hold the storage doors in place. Attached 4 to each door, made some steel angle brackets and started doing the first door. That was a big waste of time. At best I would guess about 5 lbs of pull. I did some searching and found some 40 lb pull cabinet magnets for RV use. I think 4 of those per door should keep them secure enough.
