Seems I am still learning things everyday. Yesterday while doing some work on the boat trying to get the panels ready...still, I learned a new lesson, pretty quickly too, that my finder can't stop my wire wheel on my bench grinder. The lesson didn't take long to learn, and I am still feeling the results of that lesson. Amazing how fast skin is removed with a wire wheel. So my initial work effort came to a total and immediately stopped. I instantly lost all willingness to continue. I am okay, but have a pretty sore index finger in my right hand to tend with now. Amazing how much you use a finger when you can't use it presently. And equally amazing how many times you bump that sore finger as well. I would have gone for stitches, but there wasn't anything to stitch together anymore. But it isn't really serious, only really sore!

So I guess I can work on less demanding issues for the boat. Just not for both hands for a while.
On;y good thing about it all is it is on my right hand and I am left handed. ;)

Here's wishing you all a great day...

Sorry to hear that, injuring fingers is always bad! Lots of nerves and as you said they get used a lot! Take care of it and get healed up!

Ouch! Bet ya used all kind of bad words when that happened. Hopefully it will be purely cosmetic in a short time and you can get back to the panels.

Actually I didn't use any special words. I really don't talk that way for any event that happen to me. Words like dang and darn-it did come to mind but nothing worst. However, I can tell you the interest in doing those panels magically dissolved without hesitation. And I do remember saying to my self, that is it for me today! And I was bleeding pretty good...or bad depending on your point of view. I did get the bleeding to stop after a while. But the pain throbbed the rest of the day and even somewhat today as well. I guess I have some nerve cells that really really didn't like that. I do believe that is the very first time I ever caught my finger in the wire brush and the support plate. It didn't take long to remove it. But I guess skin left in amazingly fast time.

I will live and get back to boat work. And the weather is getting better everyday. By the weekend our high temps are supposed to be high 60's. I love that type of weather. And I do see days of sitting in the boat wiring all the panels and such. So cooler weather will be a blessing.

I am sure we all have had iffy situation working on boats, or actually most anything. If you don't have any scars you are either extremely lucky, or extremely good. I used to be extremely good I guess.

At least you have the weather to look forward to GM ….. they are using the S word around here for Sunday. Also, when I would get cut when I was younger, my Dad would tell me to cheer up, bleeding always stops ……..eventually LOL.

Sounds like excellent advice. I did go back out to the shop and even used the wire wheel today again. Of course I did keep my fingers, especially the, boo booed one, well away from the wire wheel for sure. And I did get some more accomplished towards the boat panels. One more little thing to scratch off the list. But the list is still pretty long. One item at a time. :thumb:

Get well soon. I know the feeling of loosing some flesh to a hungry machine (band saw), and it definitely does put a damper on the motivation to keep working.

Yes it does change your point of view instantly. For some reason you loose all interest in doing any further work at that time.

But we seem to have very uniquely designed bodies that seem to get to work healing us as soon as it can. An amazing feat if you ask me. Too bad everything we break doesn't do that.

Well even with a very sore finger, I know because I seem to be bumping it doing most anything now, I did get some boat work done though. I am working on the electronics for the boat. The PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) circuit. I have a panel for the trolling motor that allows me to switch between regular trolling motor power and a PWM circuit to control the speed. So I can switch it in or not depending on what I am trying to do at the time. And I need to mount the circuits behind the panel so I can install it. And being how I am using a lot of paralleled MOSFETS to control the PWM to the trolling motor, I am also installing a fan to supply air to keep them cool. So I have designed all that into one package to install. I did that between yesterday and today.Small compact package that allows the PWM to be used for any trolling motor plugged into the panel.

So now on to the low level drop out circuits. Not nearly as hard to setup. :thumb:

You can see the blue sharpie I used that I haven't clean off yet. I use blue sharpie so that any scribe lines show up better. I need to clean up the assembly before it is ready. But progress all the same. :bounce:

micky, I seem to have received a PM from you but for some strange reason I was unable to open it or respond to it. So if you want to try again, maybe it will come thought this time. I even tried to PM you back, but it gets lock up in the "loading" message stage and never comes out of it again. :noidea:

Well the weather is amazing today. And it is only getting better with each day. I can work in these temps and will, :cheerful:

Still working on the circuits, but leaning towards carpeting the front section so I can finally install the rub rails as well. And I also need to 3M 5200 the live well fittings and mount that in too. All of those things are minuscule by themselves, but they add up. And once I get them moving, I can see it going well.

Yes, a ton of little things to do, but I am always hesitant to make certain I am not forgetting anything to do first, before doing any of them. It is like, if I do this, should I have thought about this first? Anybody else get like that? :noidea:

Well out to the shop now!

Again, outstanding craftsmanship

Ha WOG, thanks very much for those kind words.

I may need your expertise's soon. I have a top seat cushion to make for the live well top.

I have all the vinyl(s) in all the seat matching colors and a pretty good idea of what I want to design for the matching live well seat top. But I may need you to explain what to buy and use to get what I want for that seat. I will post a design with dimensions and colors for you to see and help me buy the proper foams and batting to get it accomplished. That is if you want to. :decision::help:

Yep GM I know I’m the same way . Every time I think about one thing 3 more things pop into my head ..
Sometimes your brain can really slow the process down ...

Yea, my usual technique is to try and get everything done before doing any final work. And there are so many things to think about before installing carpet in my situation. I am really wanting to install at least that front section of carpet which then allows me to finish the rubrails and insert. But I keep thinking, do I have to do anything else to that front before installing the carpet. Because I honestly don't want to have to rip up the carpet because I forget to do something else in that area. And since nobody gets any instructions when rebuilding boats back, you are solely on your own. But then again, it is only time and money. And at this stage, who's really counting anymore. So I have to just do it and move on. :decision::noidea:
