valid point. I guess as big of a Klutz as I am I'd be worried about dropping the BFH on my BFT

Is it gonna hinge on the front or something fancy like some spring look loaded wheels that you can move it around? Either way I'm sure it will turn out great...

Still thinking on that one SMG, It's real nice to be able to get the dog house out of the way to work on the motor. I have a hinge for it, but I may just put a couple of SS pins in the two front corners that go in the deck to keep it in place.

EDIT - The forum friendly links -

Seachoice Anti-Rattle Hatch Fastener 35841

Seadog Hatch Hinge - Seadog Line 205280-1

My original glasser (They are good for parts and ideas :)) had a pair of these on the front of the doghouse. I could hinge the DH forward or pull the pins to remove it completely.

Attwood Hatch Hinge Stainless Steel

The top rear had one of these. two might better with a heavier DH. I didn't look for SS, just grabbed the chrome plated for the pic.

Hey GA, thanks for the links, the hinges you listed are the same as the ones I used on the 201. Isn't that typical just got my order from Iboats today.

Of course! :joyous: I liked them on my IO. I don't know if you had the 201 long enough to open the DH much except to show off your craftmanship to the new owner. :D

Nice work there Glen! Looks like an uber strong build there! Amazing how compact that 4 cyl is --- the 4.3 v6 would take up 3/4" of that space in the back in comparison I would bet! Lots of room to move around for sure.

Re: 1976 Holiday 18 Mercruiser 120

Another big over-complicated job done.

I tried again to support Iboats with an order for the cup and rod holders for the shelf in the dog house but just no feasible, $105 worth of parts and over $100 for shipping. So once I get them and installed this job will be complete.
