Two words: Food Confusion. Just like muscles, weight loss plateaus --- thus the whole concept of muscle confusion (P90x etc). Great book (there are many), 17 Day Diet. Easy to read, easy to follow. Personally lost 20 lbs in 3 weeks and have not changed in 6 mths. That's all I was looking to loose. Anyway, no doubt you'll get to where you need to be for the mudder comp! Just throwin' some thoughts your way!!:)

Sorry late to the B-Day wishes... but Happy Belated B-day... Sounds like you had a great one!

Yah man, here's what works for me:

Eat right and burn more calories than I put in:)

I sure don't want to be hauling around that extra spare tire when I go into the Mudder:eek:

Happy birthday Jas. Just catching up on your threads, gratz on the lil can. She looks pretty good, though personally I like them better while they still have beer in them.

Almost looking like spring coming here, time to get the reels respooled!

Re: 1976 22' Starcraft Islander Rebuild

Thanks for swinging through fells, getting older and crabbier by the day;):D

-------------------------------------------

Well guys, I've been busy with a whole lot of non boat related stuff lately. Though, I'm still plugging away on the port side seat box, piece by piece.

A good buddy of mine handed me a giant coil of fat welding wire. Cost? Freebee:)

Would you be surprised if I told you I was eyeballin battery placement this morning?

Ah nope, I didn't think so:rolleyes::facepalm:

-----------------------------------------------------

And...

Today was a totally awesome day here in the middle of the mitt! Bright sun and mid 60's, just beautiful!

I got my 3 big swings all hooked and spent a bunch of time "testing" them (gosh that was fun).

Yes, I let the kiddos get a turn too;)

Dude. I never noticed that pile of firewood there. No wonder you get up two hours before you go to sleep. :) That looks like a ton of work keeping that pile up. Looks like that kind of work can dig into boat working time.

Nice wood work. Firewood or otherwise...

Thanks doods! Yah, no fine cabinet style wood working there but simple and strong anyway:)

That bottom inch I cut off, I just thought I'd do a little joint failure test. Certainly nothing scientific but just for the heck of it...

Joints held fine, plywood was the failure point.

Rock on:D

Spent some time tonight trying to get caught up on where your at. I only went back maybe ten pages. Did the actual boat building get moved to another thread?

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!! J/K

For us returning from a little hiatus, how about a quick summary (100 words or less) of where your at?

Yah, very funny Dave. As if you have some room to talk there buddy!:D

how about a quick summary

Well, let's see. Prolly time for a short list anyway:

-Finish assembling and epoxy the port side seat box.

-Install both seat boxes.

-Begin working on the cabin bulk heads, console, and swim platform.

-Along the way, mix in all the rigging stuff for the Mercruiser.

After that, about a thousand other things to go:rolleyes:

He does kinda have that wild look in his eye, doesn't he:D

Yah Roger, I am getting to be an old fart. Darn kids, get off the lawn!!!

:D

Yah, progress has slowed just a bit. Work has been eating me lately, and, I have slept in a few days over the past week (5am) which has been awesome! Getting up at 2/3 in the morn is great for boat building, not so great come 4/5 in the afternoon.

Still picking away at little things here and there, nothing special though. I'd like to be posting some progress reports to you guys over the weekend.

Cheers fellas:)

Yeah I hear you!!! The kids are out of their minds at school right now. Whoever decided 70+ degrees in March was a good idea was wrong!!! If it weren't for fishing I would've snapped a long time ago.
