Re: 1976 22' Starcraft Islander Rebuild

I like #2 or #3...those arm rests looks great, and in some waves they will be nice to help keep your butt in the seat:)

Agreed! In taking a closer look, even though they are two different companies, they look identical actually (except pedestal).

Many great things have been built one small step at a time. The pyramids of Giza, the Panama canal, the Empire State building, and soon...Jason's Islander:D

Oh brother:rolleyes:

If this Islander doesn't sink to the bottom of the Saginaw Bay, I'll be pumped!:D

I agree, #2 and #3 are the best of the 3. #2 would be good for seat boxes that is for sure, I am glad you found them Jason. I have been looking on and off for some time and those bought fit the bill for me as well. Will have to see when it comes time to get some.

Credit goes to my buddy EZ for the link to that store, I think they have some purdy good prices:) Looks like I'll be grabbing up a few other random things too.

I agree with everyone on the seats, stay away from #1! Those are pretty much identical to what's in my Donzi. They don't hold you in the seat at all, I remember thinking how easy it would be to fall out of the seat while running on a choppy day! Once/if I get her in the water they will move to the top of my list of things to replace. I'd go with #3, they're a little more expensive but include everything. That's a GREAT price!

I got this seat and cushions (no hardware) to my front door for $124.00. (Shipping equaled 75% of what the seat/cushions cost.)

Getting it to work with my exisitng ancient "custom" pedestal is going to be interesting but the slider I found http://www.boatdepot.com/productdetails.aspx?part=20-1011 should allow me to move the seat away from the wheel so I can stand there comfortably.

I like the arm rests on yours Jas.;)....hindsight is 20/20.:(

NO JOKE! That was like 24 hours order to door! I was shocked when I turned the corner to go in the house and there they were!

Too bad it will be months before I can actually install em:rolleyes::facepalm:

Well, opened up the seat boxes this morning. Seats are great but got just a bit of a problem. We'll see how lowcostboatingstore.com handles the issue and I'll report back.

Have a great Saturday guys!:D

Maybe you'll end up as lucky as me. Had a hole in the uphostery in one of them. Wise let me keep it and sent another!!! That free seat will be a nice upgrade on my friend's Chieftain!

Yah, seats are great! The issue is with the pedestals/hardware. I am sure they will make it right.

Re: 1976 22' Starcraft Islander Rebuild

Well, spent most of the morning boxing up gear that will end up on Starcraft boats from all four corners of the country. Your stuff in on the way guys;)

This shot is for Jerry...

I am quite happy with these seats. Not nearly as high end as my others but I do think more appropriate for my rig.:)
