most boats today, the headliner is 1/8 or 1/4 PVC proboard with vinyl glued on it. then the panels are held up with either fast clips or screws and finish washers.

Finally got me a headliner. I need to straighten out where I have access flaps to access the roof lights though but came out ok for my first time

So the boat rehab has been put on hold due to me getting rehabed with some new parts. I had done wheel bearing and complete braking system before getting cut. 1 knee done 1 to go

Been 3 weeks. Metal/plastic knee joint is set. Access hole is mended. Just need to build up walking muscles but I am already walking ok. Just not for any real length of time before it gets sore

Sooo.....
Getting close. Went thru trailer and replaced surge hitch, brakes, bearing, seals, tires, wiring, and drove it to dmv for a vin check so it can be registered. The only thing I got left for the trailer is guide posts if i want and also was thinking of putting a small ladder in the front so i can crawl down from bow. As far as the boat i am down to a lot of littles. At this point I could throw the prop on and go cruise if both had current registrations.

Hell been back to work for bout a month. Getting 6 miles a day on that peg. Just have to do it in short bursts due to muscle fatigue. Besides I dont wanna take your title of slowest build of the century from you..... I just wanna be close second @kcassells

what did you end up using under your fabric in the cabin? And did you use that plastic to make a template or that other stuff called scrim.

This is what I am referring to in regard to template to fabric. Has anyone used this pro/cons?

I used the scrim to do the patterning and put it up like an old car headliner. Its stapled all around the perimeter and across the roof braces. Also in 2 spots I have stainless rods holding part up. In those areas I stitched a sleeve for the rod to slide thru and there were holes in the wood that the wire slid In. Those were the 2 spots i started at. After it was all in i hid the staples with "hidem". There is spots where i used screws instead of staples for access panels for my roof lights that i do t like and plan to fix.
