Doooood... that sucks man!!! Bummer. Your 15???? rude doesn't happen to be a short shaft just to try does it? Just thinkin' if you could sea trial before buying just make sure.

Wondering if that extra long long shaft is to explain for the plowing bow.... just the way the water is coming of the hull and hitting the motor. Was there a V of water coming off the engine?

Short shaft sounds like the way to go... sometimes ya can't mess with the original design for whaterever reason!!

Hey Jason that sucks. I spose with the motor mounted that much higher to get the right height on the anti-cav plate, it provided an extra long fulcrum higher on the transom to push the bow down. Too bad cause that would have been a great set up.

See man I told ya to gel that thing. The extra weight would have held the front up. Sorry about the trial. Now you know though. Maybe you could work out a trade with someone local? Have a good one man.

Better hang that Merc repair sign out front and be on the lookout for "Authorized Starcraft/Smoker Craft/Tin Boat Service Center" sign...:rolleyes:...I think you are getting close to "boatnut's" stable count...:eek:...I think he's up to 7... and jbcurt got up to like 7 or 8 there for a minute, but most were fiberglass, so they were only good for salvage...:facepalm:
