Well life has been keeping me busy so I haven't done anything more on the boat. We are in the process of buying a house and are closing on the 9th so I'm trying to button up some of my back burner projects that needed completed.

Had to rebuild the rear axle in my truck as well as change spark plugs which were way past due at 126k.

Now I'm trying to get my new engine done for our ski boat. Went ahead and replaced the wood for the motor mounts as one was soggy.

4.3 bored .030, flat top pistons, roller cam and am upgrading to full roller rockers. Vortec heads with edelbrock intake and holley 4 barrel. It should be sufficient :)

Thanks jbc. Seems I have lost touch over the last several months. Life has just gotten in the way of the things I would prefer to do.

Thanks! A lot of money in that top end. Should be around 250hp, stock was 190. Hopefully I can notice the difference. I'll be sure to vote.

Almost finished with my new engine swap. Need to track down some elbow gaskets in the morning and some fuel line fittings and hopefully be able to start and dial it in tomorrow.

I got the new motor running today. I am extremely happy. I had the timing within 2 degrees which made for an easy startup. Have a few kinks to work out, leaking thermostat housing and a few of the rockers tick so they will need some adjustment. Overall it went exactly how I hoped. Now to winterized it to protect my investment.

Video upload in progress as well :)

It will probably be awhile on another tin boat. We are in the process of buying a house so that takes priority. I do however have a complete 4.3 gen 2 drivetrain I would love to put in a tin boat.

Not much to post. Needed a new throttle cable bracket since I switched from a 2 barrel to a 4. I decided to make one since I didn't feel like spending $80 on one.

I also made a roll around stand for my spare 4.3 which is eventually destined for the silverline.

Well, I happened to find out the pistons in my engine are not the correct ones. I got the engine back out and starting tearing it down so I can take it back to get the right ones installed. Just another setback.
