That sounds nice! Good to have her purring again. That blue will look sharp
I think so too, I was really planning on going with a light blue but I kinda fell in love with this shade. It's quite the relief making it through the break-in that for sure. The amount of time that has been wasted on shipping times rather than out on the water has been rough.

Here is a better vid after break-in still fine tuning the timing and idle mixture but its getting really close. It never ran this smooth or started this easy before. https://photos.app.goo.gl/Ep1rvVUwNzK4E6XNA

I still need to pull the valve cover and verify all of the push rods are rotating properly, then back to the boat. Might be able to get in the water this weekend, fingers crossed.

Started work on the new doghouse tonight. I'm debating if I should do a recessed area for cup holders or not. I'm not sure I want to add that much work to this part of the project. After I get this together I'm planning to coat the exterior in a layer of glass and finish with lighter weight version of the same carpet that is on the floor. Or maybe I'll just wrap in vinyl instead, I guess that up in the air too. Its definite noisy without a cover back there and I would like to minimize the engine noise as much as possible.

Paint shipment arrived last night and 2/3 of my order is on back order. Don't you just love when people sell you something they do not have? :( I had herd there was a pretty big paint shortage so I'm not too surprised. I guess its a good thing I'm not planning on painting until later in the year.

I would like to add insulation back to the inside of the doghouse and was thinking of using rockwool or a similar product that is not likely to catch fire. It originally came with styrofoam insulation so fire apparently wasn't a concern at the time. Anyone have any experience on this?

Wow, I would have thought that the styrofoam would have melted away after a few times out lol. I thought about getting some type of automotive hood insulation for mine. Looks like they have heat shield/ sound deading rolls on amazon that might work

It was really old stuff, definitely not the same type of styrofoam we have today. But yeah, I was surprised as well
