Its been a while since my last post so I figured it was a good time for an update. After getting the boat on the water upon completing of the last rebuild I started having more engine issues. This time it was an excessive amount of blow-bye that was sending a good amount of oil right back into the carb and onto the cylinders. I did a leak down test and found out I had some leakage around several valves and guides. I was told by the machine shop originally that the head looked good and didn't require any work at the time, So I pulled the head and took to a local shop that specializes in them. Literally the only piece left on the entire boat that I haven't restored or fixed in some way so I guess I should not have been surprised. oh well.
Anyways, I got the head back within 2 weeks and was back on the water. I can now, somewhat confidently, report that all mechanicals are in tip top working order. I have put roughly 15 hours on her and she is running absolutely fantastic. So Happy...
