Look under the nut, behind the thrust washer on the face of the prop, there should be a part number and pitch numbers stamped there.

FINALLY !!! :p

So glad that all the hard work paid off. Now get moving on the other one :D

On a side note, I have boated on that lake, this past summer. My Mother in law lives down near the religious camp ground, very nice lake.

Just watched the full length video...awesome. My wife and I actually watched it together and I showed her the pics from when you first started out. You've come along way. We both got a kick out of seeing how happy you were and I think she got a glimpse (although will prob never understand fully) of what this is all about.

Also, cracks me up that you left your vehicle running at the launch that whole time.... You must live in a kinder, safer part of the world...

Hey thanks a bunch guys! Naw, at 39 degrees and 34 miles an hour, nobody was wanting to go for a boat ride today.

Yah mccraney, this rig is certainly a changed girl from what I brought home last January. I saw two souls yesterday morning. The fella who unlocked the gate and one duck hunter on the lake. I'm thinking he was a bit annoyed at the wohooing from the wierdo flying around in the black Starcraft like it was the middle of the summer:D

1968 Starcraft Jet Star SC Sea Trial

Sorry the camera was so jumpy, I prolly could have mounted that better.

Since I was far too excited to say actual words during the run, here is just a bit of commentary...

@4:45 you can hear the T&T creaking, I think a little grease should solve that problem. It wasn't doing that before, maybe the way the OB was sitting?

@6:30 I noticed a little plastic ring was laying on the deck there. I couldn't figure out what it was till later. It came off the engine warning horn which didn't seem to be working anyway. I may not care about it beeping at me every time I start the OB anyway, so that's fine.

@9:20 Getting the Jet up on plane for the first time, awesome!:D

@11:14 Checking the tach for idle rpms, right about 900 or so.

@12:35 First hole shot and WOT, lovin it!:D

@13:00 Tears streaming from the eyes - Joy? Lack of windshield? Not so sure:)

@13:40 Checking the tach for WOT rpms, about 6400. I wonder between this number and my idle number the tach may be reading just a little high? I think I'll grab one of those photo tachs to verify.

@15:00 First nice wide station wagon turn, handling felt really nice! I wasn't about to do any quick tight turns for the first run.

@15:58 Just checking the bilge for any water/leaks. Dry so far.

@16:15 Getting the GPS app going. As another Stracraft bro put it, it felt like I was going at least 250 mph so I wanted to confirm.

@17:50 I can see she planes out and cruses comfortably at about 22 mph.

@18:50 I trimmed it just a little to get to a hair over 34 mph for top speed. For reference, that is with both batts in and the port side tank full at 6 gal. Starboard tank was empty. The weight/balance of the rig seems just about right. Maybe just a little bow heavy with the big batt and Minn Kota up there. But more weight will go to the stern when loaded with extra gear/fuel. I'll need more time in the boat to know for sure though.

@19:28 I may have trimmed it up just a hair to high maybe? You can see a bit of extra water getting airborne back there where it wasn't before. I needed one of you guys to drive so I could check it out.

@20:45 Quick video to satisfy the Angry Mob.

@23:18 The OB started kinda surging/dieing on me a little.

@24:06 Light bulb moment. I was so jazzed my truck started to launch I totally forgot to crack the vent when I hooked up the fuel line, duh!

@24:55 Switched the tach over to 5P just to see. Buried the needle, 6P is correct.

@28:00 Don't have any proper docking lines yet so I was using some climbing webbing.

@30:00 My launch/land will be much faster once I get some guide-on's installed.

@34:46 Couldn't believe I had just a great run:)

Like I mentioned before, this Jet felt very solid and handled really well, surprisingly well! The space on board feels just great and I do think this will make for a very nice all around fishing boat. What an all together super Sea Trial morning:D

Well that has to be the most epic sea trial video yet! Watched it with my son and we both enjoyed it. My son "wants to go boating with that guy". Looks like it handles awesome (as these SC tend to do :D) That banging noise with the TnT is pretty odd. Definitely going to want to look into that before it breaks something expensive. That's going to be such a great little fishing rig. Congrats!

Congrats on the splash. Great gob with the video and I couldn't wipe the smile off my face while watching. A second before the hole shot I could see that wild look in your eye. Super job dood!!!!!!!!

Best splash video I've ever seen in spite of your unconventional seating setup! It was almost like reliving my splash, yeah that feeling that "hey it works and here we go"!! WooooHoooo!

Looks chilly but worth it!

That's sort of the noise my T&T was making, it went away after greasing up the tilt tube fittings.

Congrats & thanks for the video. The boat looks great.

Thought "He needs to grease the TnT just like Lake" when I heard it. Could of appeared due to cooler temps maybe?

The little "heh, it works" half grin as you pulled away from the dock got me smiling and didn't go away the rest the time I was watching.

Thanks for taking us along. :D
