Cool, tach it is, thanks doods. Did a little shopping, sheesh, those things are pricey:rolleyes:

Yah, I'll grab a FF/GPS combo in due time.

I used a "Sen Dech" tack or something like that with mine,....Cheaper and easier to install, And I still get the information I need,...

Kaze, there is no way I'd have a floor mat with palm trees on it in my boat:p

GAII, yah I should grab a small recessed compass to put somewhere up there. Fur sure mandatory for me.

Well, a bit of progress this morning - nothing photo worthy.

OK guys, I'm about to pull the trigger on a decal order from my decal guy. One of the pieces is a new set of decals for the Johnson and I'd like your opinion on what he has put together for me (if ya care anyway).

Here was original...

I don't think I'm diggin it so much. I might go a little something like this maybe?

Well, you know what I think about red. But on your black & white scheme, I could see it without the red at all, would look sharp. In this case I would say lose the red.

And are you sure you wouldn't reconsider a windshield?

Morning Jason, my 2 cents, , change the red to chrome, and go with the top one. Keeps your 50 logo.
The jets looking real good, 9 days till turkey day is it?

Ditto what Glen said but swap the word "chrome" for "gray" :)

Lake - Ya, as I sit here I'm about 50/50 on the windshield. I see they aren't to pricy on eBay and I can easily be convinced to add one really. I think I'll run the Jet some first and then decide for sure.

Glen/EZ- There is actually a thin gray stripe in there (between the black and red). Yah, I'll for sure have the 50 logo piece. Those actually go on the front/back as badges. Should have mentioned that, my bad. Like this...

Maaayyyyybe no color at all. No gray, no red, just a black stripe????

Plain old black and white gets my vote with your colors, or I should say lack of colors.

And,

B&W would be too plain and not real OEM looking. Add some gray in there somewhere.

Dood, I'm not Canadian!!!!

It may not even be that long.:)

Yah, for sure the red has to go. Maybe a fat gray one then thin black one under, kinda like original. Ah, we'll see.

Good question and good segway PR:)

OK, lets see...

1. Finish up and install rod holders. (These are important for more than just holding rods. Hold on, you'll see why)

2. Build/install mounting plate for controls.

3. Finish up building/painting stern hatch/casting deck and install.

4. Paint and install bow casting deck hatch

5. Install fuel tanks, batts, controls, tach, 12 V, pizza oven

6. Build helm seat/fish box sorta deal

7. Install Bert's Tracks

8. Decals

9. Load safety gear stuff

10. Launch!

I have 3 weeks till turkey time. I may need all of that considering my current pace.

I'm close, but not that close.

Or, I could burn a couple of vacation days and crank all that out:)

Gotts to get an ice maker if your gonna have a pizza oven. Don't laugh too hard cause my wife really wants one for margeritas.

The motor needs something to stand out a bit. Any kind of accent color would work. Here is where I think a small splash of RED (yes I said it:eek:) or blue.

Do you really need to do all that just for sea trials? All the mob wants is a picture or video of you going fast on the water with a wake spreading out behind you.

Scratch everything but 2, 5, 9 and 10. I could be watching that video by this Sunday!

I hear ya PR, I hear ya.

I'm kind of a delayed gratification sort of guy. Launching and knowing she actually complete would be an awesome feeling, ya know.:)
