Re: 1968 15' Starcraft Jet Star Rebuild
Looking good, gotta love seeing some bare metal on the hull.

I've been up since 10pm last night.....perhaps I just need some sleep.
That stripper should be great. That's what I was looking for when I found the Kleen Strip. I found that in a lot of spots where the original white paint was especially tenacious, I had to really scrub with stripper & the SS brush as a final step. No concern for the shine. I was using a much larger and stiffer brush than you have in your picture. Yup, a power washer wound be great, wouldn't it?
At any rate, looks like it's going pretty well, just takes a lot of elbow grease!

Looking great keep at it
If you are looking for the mirror type finish you'd need to omit the ss brush and the stripping sponge. Just soft stuff touching the hull there.
Ya know Jason.... I hadnt thought of that when I used my brush. I had always planned on priming/painting back over. I hope it didnt screw things up for you that you had used the brush .. in case you had decided to go with the bare alum?.
Seems like doing the tinny is much easier than the glasser.
.......................Just a progress accountability photo...
That puts me at about 3/4 of the paint stripping complete
Still have the very bow section and the transom skin to go.
Good progress. once you get past the halfway mark, doesn't it feel better? I don't know about you but I expect my elbows to be sore for months from stripping and sanding for paint prep. But then I'm an old geezer.
Jas, I'm more like the driver that took the bathroom break and sat down for the chicken sandwich.
Accountability progress noted Jason...
Just remember you removed 3/4 of the bow and half the splashwell so that should be a time saver .
