Re: 1968 15' Starcraft Jet Star Rebuild

Thanks for all the encouragement guys.

I wish I could say things are going well but they aren't. She is suffering, even with the heavy pain medication on board. I'll spare you the details, it would make the toughest among us cringe.

Just terrible seeing such a wonderful person, the best really, hurt so much.

It's horrible. Our Christmas Eve six years ago was spent running from pharmacy to pharmacy trying to get morphine. Wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. Hospice is amazing though. They will make her comfortable.

Sorry to hear the bad news Jas (somehow I got behind on your thread).I've gone through the same thing with both parents and Father in Law. Hospice is great but nothing is more important than spending all the time You can with Your loved ones at times like this. You and Your family are in My thoughts and prayers.

Mom went Home to the Lord yesterday. While I am so happy that she no longer has to struggle, there is a gigantic hole in my heart.

Here is a quick shot from just a few weeks ago, 4th of July...

My wife Jennifer on the left, then father in law Bill, brother in law Kevin and sister in law Shea, Mom (Maureen) in front. I'd be holding the camera.

She will be terribly missed by all of us.

Point of clarification...

"Mom" is actually my mother in law but she was very clear, and insisted to everyone around us, that I was her son. It caused for a confusion sometimes but neither one of us cared a bit.

Sorry to hear Jason. You and your family will be in my thoughts and prayers.

A freind of mine shared this with me when my father passed about 5 years ago. I would like to share it with you.
**************

No soul returns to the source except at the moment at which that soul is assured of its salvation.

The soul seeks its Creator and in time, merges with it.

What makes man different from all other creations is that at the moment in which were-unite with the Creator, our self remains whole and functional.

Let me add one other thought:

If the Theologians are right and love is very essential energy of the universe.

And:
If Einstein is right and energy can not be destroyed or created bye the universe,

Then:
Love is never destroyed, only changed in form.

Take care

Re: 1968 15' Starcraft Jet Star Rebuild

Thanks guys, appreciate you all very much.

The giant knot in my stomach is starting to loosen up. It's been there since moms cancer came on the scene. I'm still a pretty sad kid, we all are and will be for a while. At the same time we are so thankful that her battle is over. We love her.

I hope to get rolling and post up some progress on the Jet Star soon. Mom was always such an encouragement on my projects, one of my greatest cheerleaders really. She thought both the Starcrafts were super cool even in their total ghetto state.

Here's to you Mom...
