I have been in your shoes (unfortunately 6 years earlier) and it is tough. My sincere condolences.

Re: 1968 15' Starcraft Jet Star Rebuild

Thanks guys, appreciate all of you.

I think the tough part is not too long ago she could have been mistaken for a woman in her 40's even though she is just into her 60's. It seems like the decisions we are making and conversations between our family shouldn't be happening for another 20 years. Just terrible.

She is the best mom, as kind hearted and graceful as any you'll ever meet. All she really ever wants to do is hang out with her grandbabies and cook for all of us. When I am at the hospital ordering her breakfast and I ask her what she would like, she says "well, what are you hungry for honey?". Always puts others before herself, always.

She knows the Lord and she has told us plainly, she is "ready to go home."

Sorry to hear about your Mom Jas. Your family is in our thoughts and prayers.

Went though that with my dad about 5 years ago.

Hang in there.

Very sad news buddy.

Big hugs.

You go take care of yourself and your family. Your boats will wait patiently (and so will we).

My thoughts are with you. May you all find grace and love in this. Just lost my grandma a couple months ago... I'm not ready for my mom to go yet!!

Hope to hear from you now and again but we all understand more important obligations!

Sorry to hear about your mom. We just lost my Father-in-law at the end of March after battling for two years. He just didn't have the fight anymore. Spend as much time as you can with her, for you, your family and your mom to share the memories in the future. I missed 3 weeks of work to by with my FIL when things started going down hill for him. Family is the most important, work and boat(s) will always be there.

Re: 1968 15' Starcraft Jet Star Rebuild

So sorry to hear this buddy. I lost my Mother-In-Law to cancer a few years back and she was the absolute best. An ol' farm girl from Imlay City. She was a Christian also and is now with the Lord in her rightful place. I just wish Zach could have met her first.

If you need to talk I'm here for you, I've been through it. Be strong for you're wife, and if she needs someone to talk to Lisa (my wife) will be happy to talk to her. I'll keep praying for all of you. If you need me, I'll drive up to Midalnd and we can have a Rootbeer together, maybe take the kids out for an icecream.

Remember Jesus Christ IS Lord. He is there, and he knows all, lean on the rock. God Bless.

Just back catching up, very sorry to hear your sad news. Sounds like your Mom has a strong spirit, and she will be missed terribly. Meantime, keep her as comfortable as you can, she's earned it with a good life.
