Yep, and wear a bandana on your head. Don't want any water dripping on the paint!!!! ASK me how I know THAT!!!!!

Oh no :eek:! Thanks for the tip Wood. Hopefully i won't have to work much this week and get it painted. Not likely though, the A/C business is booming during the summer.

Re: {1965 Jupiter Restoration}

would it be okay to shoot the clean metal primer over the etching primer,? i have some uneven areas of old paint. the etching primer is not thick enough. if so would i have to add hardener to the clean metal primer. Thanks.

Absolutely. The etching primer is supposed to be light. If you want any real fill/masking you need to use the clean metal primer.

Re: {1965 Jupiter Restoration}

Yeah, I'd recommend TWO coats of the Clean Metal Primer and do a light sanding between coats with a Scotch Brite pad. That will give you a GOOD base for the final coat of paint AND even things up a bit. I would then do a Wet Sanding with 320 grit and final wipe down with Mineral Spirits right before applying the first Color Coat.

Doesn't it!. The epoxy i used says its U/V protected up to 120 degrees. you think it would be fine to leave unpainted?

Finished up all the primer and sanding, will be putting first coat of Semi gloss white on the bottom early Tuesday morning. Most likely go with 3 coats, and then for the color....well my girlfriend cannot decide between royal blue or sunrise red, im thinking red :D
