This is looking really great- I'm in the sanding stage, too- Except I'm dealing with blue dust instead of red.... It seems as though this stage will NEVER end- Fill, sand, fill sand...

Hey guys. Thanks for the comments. Arch- Paint will be here Wednesday. The boat place carries the easypoxy but they were sold out of ocean blue. I have the primer/undercoater.

Andgott- do you have a thread going?

Yeh- sanding and the dust sucks- especially when you think your done and then you find another pin hole!

Hey Mick,
Looking good. Can't wait to see it with the paint.
We need to come up with another product like filler. You gotta love a product that you put on sand off, over and over again. :D
Once again the boat is really looking good.

Coming along Mick.

At least you're getting something done. Glad to see you're close to painting. I love restos. There's something about preserving history!

Well I'm pissed! Went to pick up the paint yesterday and it didn't come in. They said it's back ordered at the supplier they get it from and it won't be in till the 27th!

So it looks like the only paint going on the boat this weekend will be the primer. Tomorrow night I will be finishing up the sanding and then I will be ready for primer Saturday night.

Well primer is better than no progress at all. I feel your pain. I was waiting on trailer bearing seals. My boat has been stranded in the garage with no wheels and it's otherwise ready for a test run! They came in today but I'm headed out of town for the weekend and won't be able to work on it

Ha- Arch, I'm not building seats. Those will be ordered and put down like you did yours at the end.

I'm just mad about the paint because I could have ordered paint off the internet and had it days ago if I would have known what was going to happen at my boat place.

I'm gonna call another boat place that is a little further from my place to see if they carry the easypoxy. next weekend we have my kids birthday party so I'm sure i won't have much time on the boat.

SCORE!!! I just called the other boat place and they have a quart on the shelf! I told them to hold it. Looks like I'll be making the drive to get it tonight:D
First coat of paint is still a go for Sunday!!!

LOL! My wife has her moments for sure! But usually as long as I do it at night after we put the kids to bed then she is ok with it.

Thanks guys!

Well here you go- it's 3 am but the boat is primed. We were at a birthday party so I wasn't able to get to the boat till a little later than expected.

I put a skirt on her so no paint will get on her bottom.

Hey Mick, looking great!! You have to be excited, and MUST be proud! I'm enjoying my Traveler for one more season, and hope to use the inspiration provided by you, oops, arch, bob... I can go on and on. The only trouble is, all of you will be ENJOYING your projects when I'm ready to start mine! I'll be starting a thread of my own shortly however, on fabbing a fishing tower. Keep up the great work. This forum, I'm quite sure, has got to be breathing new life into MANY roadside "planters", thanks to you and all the other great guys here. You really are a heck of a bunch. Hope to be amongst your ranks shortly!
