I posted a warning about this Problem with the Majic Primer. It is NOT good stuff and should not be used. The Clean Metal Primer by Rustoleum IS the stuff to use. Is this an Aluminum or Fiberglass Canoe?

Fiberglass canoe. I used the Majic primer (not 2 part). I mixed up the can like any other can of paint. But it's been over a week now and I can just scratch the paint off with my fingernail. UGGGHHHH!!! I'm going to apply paint stripper and power wash and start over.

Ugh, I did 2 coats of the Majic primer on my canoe as described and.......

Pls discuss your canoe paint problems in a topic about your canoe, painting (repainting?) it or the problems w the paint.

I'm sure Mike (WoodOnGlass) doesnt mind, but that discussion is not relavent to his Flamingo project which is the subject of this topic

Hey everyone. I've had a lot of neck issues lately and had a Nerve Ablation a few weeks ago. I thought it worked but am now experiencing some NOT so good after effects. Feels like 3rd degree sunburn on my neck/shoulder and my equilibrium is all messed up. Anyhoo, I'm on pain meds and in LaLa Land most of the time. Sorry for not being on here as much but I'll try and be more responsive. I try to do a bit of upholstery work, (I'm being bombarded with requests, but mostly Furniture, not boats) but I'm 1/2 scared to do any stitchin cuz putting a needle thru your finger doesn't sound like much fun. Feel free to PM me if you need this Old Dumb Okies help and I'll try to be more attentive to the forum.
It sucks to get Old and have everthing start to stop functioning. I think I'm 30 but the old Bones say Not Today Dummy!!!

Sorry to hear about the issues, but hopefully they're temporary. FYI, some of the meds they probably have you taking can absolutely cause the issues with balance. Maybe when they're done, that'll be over.

Mike,
Sorry to hear about your challenges. I’ve gone through a lot of that over the last couple of years with breaking my back again and two gall bladder surgeries (good riddance!). Persevere and come out stronger! Thanks for your never-ending support for all of us!
Happy Thanksgiving!

Thank you Woody. And Happy 4rth to you and everyone else. I am waiting till tomorrow to go out. All the boats and water cops I will pass. Tomorrow it is just me 3 kayakers and the barges. Much less sillyness.

Happy Independence Day to all! Just watched 1776. Yankee Doodle Dandy is up next! It’s on TCM and it followed by Music Man and then Bye Bye Birdie!
