Once again, we have affirmitive confirmation that I AM an Old Dumb Okie!!!! I removed the lower unit from the Johnson and disassembled the waterpump thinking I would find that the having run her dry a few times and on the muffs for a while that I had evidently worn her out pre-maturely. Or I thought I had put her in backwards. ( I had heard that was prolly not the problem cuz even if you do that when the motor starts they will "Self Correct themselves usually). As you can see she was just fine and the key was fine too and she was spinning and working just fine. Sooo... the only other possible issue was blockage in the water tubes. NOPE both of em perfectly clear. That left only one possibility...I had not ensured the two water tubes were connected properly on the install the last time. My water pump has two tubes where most only have one. I thought I had em connected but...Guess NOT!!! I went ahead this time and replaced the VernaTherm (Thermostat) and put in a new impeller too. I Triple checked the watertube connections when I stabbed the unit back in and am 1000% certain they are in place this time sooo I'm certain that with them connected and with a new thermostat, I should get proper water circulation this time. I'm hoping to get to the lake tomorrow to check her out. Weather is supposed to be nice so I'll keep you posted. I ordered all the parts to install the Pee Hole for the motor so when they come in I'll be doing that too so I'll know for sure when she's pumping good.
